First time coming here and we came because of the reviews. You pick your sushi off a small menu which is fine. I wrote on my paper and told the waitress that I am ALLERGIC to shrimp. I requested that any sushi roll containing shrimp be on a separate plate so I don't accidentally consume it. The waitress notified me it's all cooked together, I told her that was fine as I have never had an issue as long as I don't physically touch or consume the shrimp. My hands and eyes swell up, I break out in hives, and my throat starts to close... fast forward, we are almost done eating our sushi when I put one piece in my mouth and freeze because I recognized the texture. I look at my husband and look at the other 4 pieces on the plate. I tell my husband I think there's shrimp on my sushi. He tells me it has to be impossible as the shrimp roll was on another plate that came in. When my husband calls the waitress over, he asks her specifically if there is shrimp on that separate plate to which she replied... no, I thought you wanted that roll without shrimp and on a separate plate, the ones with shrimp are over here and proceeds to point at the plate with all of the mixed sushi.
Needless to say, this ruined everyone's appetite. I ran to the bathroom to throw up immediately and wanted to cry. The waitress disappeared and never came back, probably to save face but that is ridiculous. We had to ask another waitress for the check so we could pay, leave, and get benadryl.
I broke out in hives and thankfully that is all that happened, probably since I threw up right away and took plenty of benadryl just in case.
For those of you wondering... yes, I have an epi-pen, no... I didn't have it with me and I notified the waitress of that when ordering our meal as we were in a rental. Never coming back, thank God I didn't die.
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU...
Read moreLet me start by saying sushi bros was my to go spot’s since their opening, fried rice was always my menu idea top pick. Today was a embarrassing, disgusting, unprofessional experience I ever received from a restaurant. As I stated “sushi bros was my to go spot “ my girl and I come here weekly, never would recall a issue except for today. We usually hand tips to the waiters who serve us but today they add it to our check, normally they only automatically place tip on receipt for a party of 6 or more but it was just my girl and I. So I thought it was weird so we asked them about it since we usually hand the waiters money, they said we NEVER leave tips so they add it to the receipt themselves… So basically we went back and forth with the boss and trying to prove ourselves giving tips( which one waiter told their boss we ALWAYS leave tips). It sucks as regulars to be treated like we’re not putting money in their pockets, so we’ll be supporting others sushi places and etc..
UPDATE: As I reported on my review already we leave a cash tip to the waitress who we dealt with all the time, ask and she will tell you. If you want to know what’s weird is you going back and forth with a CUSTOMER ABOUT TIPPING 😂, I can see if we run out on the bill but you’re getting upset about a $5 tip. It’s very unprofessional and sad you don’t see it,quite ghetto if you ask me. God bless you and this...
Read moreI’m not a sushi fan but came here with my family to celebrate Father’s Day due to my family liking sushi. They charge $24 for unlimited food on Sundays. If you have a party of 10 or larger, they do not allow a la carte. We originally had 8 so I ordered chicken hibachi a la carte. We had some last minute changes due to family being able to come so they told me they had to charge me the unlimited price even though I would not eat more than 1 serving of my food and would not order any additional food-especially sushi since I don’t eat sushi. The chicken ended up being raw and pink so they did take my meal off of the ticket which I’m grateful for. The additional family who came to our table ended up leaving due to only wanting to order fried rice and being told that they would have to pay $50 ($24 each) even though they also do not eat sushi. We did try to ask if we can do separate tables since the unlimited price applies for large parties, they advised that if we do that, they could not seat us together (even though we were already seated together and had additional tables next to us) and would have to move the other party to the front of the restaurant. We did speak to a manager and the manager advised that it is their store policy to charge unlimited for large parties regardless if they eat...
