DO NOT USE WOOSTER BEST BUY. I was sorely disappointed by our last trip to Wooster Best Buy. I have always dreaded trips to our best buy, but this trip truly takes the cake. My family uses Wooster Best Buy for all of our phone needs. Anytime we buy,replace, or upgrade our phones, we go through Best Buy to do so. Not because the service is friendly, because it isn't. Not because it's "hassle free" to replace our defective phones (under the warranty we pay for on each and every phone ) because it isn't. Going to Geek Squad in Wooster is a lot like being interrogated by someone who assumes you're guilty before they started asking questions. I replaced my phone in June. I took my old phone in, which was defective, to replace under the warranty. I was questioned (quite rudely) as to how the phone was broken, then told they no longer carry my phone. They showed me an "upgraded version" as they called it. I returned it to the store 2 days later, frustrated to no end with the crap phone they sold me. MAGICALLY, they had a phone like the one I had initially brought in. It worked beautifully....for 6 weeks. Upon returning THIS phone under the warranty, I was yet again questioned as though I'd done something wrong. Then, once again, told they didn't have my phone in, only THIS time, the only way to get one was to DRIVE 40 MINUTES to another store to get one. They then showed me comparable phones (including the piece of junk they tried to sell me before). When I picked one (at another $85 out of pocket despite being covered under geek squad warranty), I was told they don't carry THAT either...but I could pay for it now and have it shipped to the Wooster store in one week's time. They did not offer me a warranty, and when I asked, they cancelled out the entire order and reordered with the warranty....charging me twice. When the week was up, I called only to be told it could be one to two ADDITIONAL weeks until my phone arrived OR I could pick it up in the Canton store. I grudgingly agreed, until the pickup location change email arrived stating that Wooster was sending me to the WRONG store. MY phone was on its way to AKRON, NOT Canton. AND,surprise, surprise, they charged me YET AGAIN. I drove to the Akron store (where they were incredibly helpful). I got my phone, but was told it would be another 3-5 business days before the initial $85 was refunded to my account because of Wooster's mistake. DO NOT USE...
   Read moreI recently went into this Best Buy to purchase some tech equipment. It was my first visit to this store. The store itself was clean, uncluttered and well organized. The associate that worked with me was very knowledgeable and respectful. I am quite "tech challenged" when it comes to computers and such but Issa patiently explained all of the equipment and made sure I had a good understanding of products he showed me. I would imagine that companies such as Best Buy (and others) direct their employees to sell certain "add ons" and Best Buy is no different. My sales associate did this but was by no means high pressure, just merely offered and explained the "add ons" and went on when I declined them. I purchased a new laptop at this Best Buy. The Geek Squad set up my laptop for me. When I picked up my laptop the Geek Squad associate did a wonderful job of showing me how my new laptop was set up and ran through the basics with me. He was friendly, personable and made sure to ask me if I had any questions/concerns. All in all this was an excellent experience for me. In the past I have used the Best Buy stores in Elyria, Avon, North Olmstead and Fairlawn. I think this will be my new Best Buy of choice. It is only a 30 minute trip for me, the store isn't overwhelming, traffic and parking are the easiest managed of all the other locations I have been to. I would highly recommend this store to anyone...
   Read moreI'm done with Best Buy! I went in because my daughter's Dre Beats headphones needed replaced. We purchased a service plan at Christmas time and was told they would exchange them in store. Supposedly they changed the policy and now they have to be sent out and can take 2-4 weeks to get back! I was never notified of a policy change and would figure anyone before this policy change would get the correct service they paid for. I was told I could walk into Geek Squad by the 1-800 service tech and I was scolded for doing so by the Geek Squad representative for doing so. The store was dead and maybe had 6 people in it. While I was there someone who exchanged their phone called in to get their data off the old phone and the representative said that she already exchanged the phone and couldn't have hers back that they would take care of it for a fee and very rudely. WOW! I would not recommend making any major purchases from Best Buy and go someone else where the customer service is handled with care and respect for your hard...
