In the realm of gastronomic quests, my recent jaunt to Panda Express unfolded as a rather peculiar affair, a tale that would leave even the most seasoned storyteller scratching their head. Picture, if you will, a hopeful wayfarer armed with the convenience of online ordering, pulling into the drive-thru with visions of a swift and savory victory. Alas, the gastronomic fates had a different script in mind. Approaching the drive-thru window with the optimism of a hungry pilgrim, I was abruptly halted in my tracks. The Panda Express gatekeeper, with a solemn demeanor, delivered the news that the hallowed drive-thru window did not serve as a gateway for online order pilgrims. A decree both confounding and unexpected! In the spirit of this culinary saga, the lack of any forewarning left me befuddled. No signs, no proclamations, just the disheartening revelation that my digital desires were to be thwarted at the drive-thru's doorstep. It was as if the cosmic forces of cuisine conspired to add a dash of bewilderment to my culinary escapade. Faced with this unforeseen culinary conundrum, I found myself navigating the nautical art of reverse-thrust, an inglorious retreat from the drive-thru line. The symphony of disgruntled murmurs and the shuffle of tires served as the unsolicited soundtrack to this gastronomic misadventure.
As I recount this tale, I can't help but ponder the curiosities of modern fast-food protocols. A bit of transparency and communication, much like the secret ingredients in a well-crafted dish, might have spared me this drive-thru detour. In conclusion, my peculiar rendezvous with Panda Express left a taste not of their famed Orange Chicken but of a denied delight and a drive-thru dance that left me craving not just for their dishes but for a more straightforward culinary expedition.
May this tale serve as a cautionary dish for those who, like me, seek culinary convenience in the twists and turns of the modern...
Read moreI've eaten at Panda Express many times and I couldn't wait for this location to open. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food, but despite that, I am sure that I will be back because I know these things happen from time to time. Before I explain my disappointment, let me just say that customer service was excellent when I called the restaurant to say that my order was incomplete. They offered a replacement meal or a refund.
I did delivery, so I cannot say at least part of my disappointment lies with Door Dash. I ordered a plate and when I opened the box, all of my food was mixed together - despite a divided plate. Not sure if my order being completely cold is a Door Dash issue or a Panda Express problem. My receipt said my order was completed at 11:20. It was delivered at 11:40. I'm less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. The spring rolls were cold and soggy. There was no rice in my plate and the entrees were completely cold. I wanted the Mushroom Chicken but since I have an allergy to zucchini I opted for the Black Pepper Chicken - there were several pieces of zucchini in my dish and since the entire meal was all mixed together, I was unable to eat any of my lunch. I must add that before I realized the zucchini was there, I had tasted the Black Pepper Angus Steak and the meat was amazing...
Read moreFirst time experience. ONLINE ORDERING: I didn't know what to expect and had some minor glitches ordering online but thought I had done everything right. Apparently not. I never got a confirmation email or instructions on how to pick up my order. When I got to the restaurant, I went through the drive-thru lane and was told I had to come inside where online orders were clearly displayed. But mine was not there. STORE ORDERING: After verifying that my credit card had not been charged for an online order, re-ordered at the store, which was fast and easy. I got what they call a "Bigger" plate, which is one side (I opted for 2 half orders) and 3 entrees. TASTE: Chow mein and fried rice were good, although not as spicy as I like. Orange chicken, sesame chicken and shrimp with walnuts also were good but not quite spicy enough for me. Next time, I'll add sauces for more flavoring. QUANTITY: All items were adequate for the price. The "Bigger" plate was a bit too much for 1 person but not quite enough for 2. PRICE: reasonable. I recommend the "Bigger" plate for $10.90. My shrimp was $1.25 extra for a...
