Wild Ginger China Bistro — Restaurant in Wooster

Definitely should have looked at the reviews prior to eating here. If I could I wouldn't even give this place a star. Walmart frozen food would be considered luxury compares to this. The service wasn't bad but that was only because we were the only ones in the building aside from staff. But it was all awful. The chow mien tasted like it came out of a can. Trust me, I love chow mien, and I have tried many different restaurant's chow mien. This was the worst chow mien I have ever tasted in my life. EVER. It was disgusting in both taste and appearance. It was slimy but the hard noodles grossed me out. The only thing I was able to stomach was the white rice. Between me and three other people the food was barely even touched. The poor wasted chicken, rice, soup, and noodles... Even the factory made fortune cookie was nasty. If you liked any bit of the food I'd say you've never tasted authentic Chinese food before. We have been coming to this place for years. Used to live in the area. Now we live over 1.5 hours away from it. We have made the trip a few times on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. We were this past Sunday. Food used to be awesome but after Sunday we will never come back. More sauce than food. I ordered fried rice which came in looks and tasting like they put rice in a pan put soy sauce on it and served it. Taste of my garlic shrimp was OK. Very little vegetables with it. Way too much sauce. The whole place needs updated. Service was almost nonexistent. They got our drink then took our order. Food came out very slowly. It’s not a traditional Chinese restaurant. Saturday night 6pm, should be prime time for any restaurant, especially one with this location. Unfortunately it was more like dead 💀 time.

30+ tables and we were alone. It was a little unnerving. The staff sat in the back on their phones and I don’t blame them.

The sever and service was great! He was very attentive and he had time to be.

The orange and sesame chicken came quickly and then we realized why it’s a gosht town.

The food 🙁tasted like McDonald’s chicken nuggets with sesame sauce over it. One piece soggy, one piece crunchy? Wut? The rice which is typically bland was void of anything resembling taste.

Nice people, bad food....
