As the clock struck five on a bustling Saturday evening, we found ourselves stepping into the familiar embrace of Red Lobster, hopeful for a delightful dining experience. However, our journey began on rocky shores as the hostess, perhaps overwhelmed by the evening rush, led us to a table already claimed by unseen diners.
Undeterred by this initial hiccup, we settled in, eagerly awaiting the attention of our waiter. Alas, it seemed patience was the catch of the day as fifteen long minutes drifted by before our drink orders were finally taken.
Thankfully, the coconut shrimp appetizer provided a glimmer of hope amidst the rocky start. Its crispy exterior and succulent interior offered a momentary respite from our growing hunger.
Yet, our hopes were soon dashed upon the presentation of the Surf & Turf, a dish that fell far short of its enticing description on the menu. The lobster, though flavorful, hung unappetizingly from its shell, a disappointing sight indeed. The steak, meanwhile, lacked the promised sizzle, its flavor falling flat amidst the sea of disappointment.
To add insult to injury, the ketchup dish rudely intruded upon our plates, while the random sprinkling of parsley seemed like an afterthought rather than a thoughtful garnish.
In the end, our evening at Red Lobster proved to be a tale of unmet expectations and culinary missteps. While the coconut shrimp offered a brief moment of satisfaction, the overall experience left much to be desired. We departed, vowing to seek out calmer waters for our next...
Read moreI don’t usually leave bad reviews, but our experience at this Red Lobster was incredibly disappointing. We had to wait to be seated which was fine and normal—until we were seated and then forgotten. It took over 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We eventually got biscuits and had our drink order taken, but then waited another 15+ minutes just to get our sodas.
When the food finally started to come out, it was painfully slow and staggered. We got one appetizer after a 15–20 minute wait, then waited again before our main dish arrived. I ordered the crab plate ($35), and it was nothing like what we’ve had at other Red Lobster locations. The crab legs were large but barely warm, and the dish tasted off. The potatoes that came with it were hard, dry, and tasted like overcooked potato chips—not the soft, seasoned red potatoes we were expecting.
The place wasn’t even half full, yet the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. I overheard at least two other tables complaining to staff and having their meals comped. We spent over $70 for one crab plate, one appetizer, and three sodas—and it was absolutely not worth it.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was unacceptable, the food was subpar, and I honestly regret even leaving a tip. The only reason I gave one star is because I can’t give zero. We won’t be coming back to...
Read moreWe had a horrible experience last night. Our server was friendly but that’s about the only thing good we could say. She was forgetful, slow, and not attentive at all. Our drinks were empty, we had to afk for refills multiple times before she brought them, we had to ask for biscuits, she never brought more napkins which we had asked for right away because the table and boothseats were soaking wet from being cleaned as we were sat (which we were glad the table was clean for us, but there were plenty of other empty, clean, dry booths available to choose from) we had to ask for our check so we could leave, she never pre-bussed a single dish, and then we sat for another 10 minutes waiting on her to come take our card to cash us out. There were dirty tables all over that no one was cleaning, they had 2 hosts standing at the front ‘doing nothing’ and they were not busy at all, unless our server had a bunch of tables on the other side of the restaurant. It anppeared she only had us and one other table, so there is no reason she would have been ‘too busy’ to give better service. So overall that alone was not good. I was a server in the past so I’m extra forgiving of less than great service but the kicker was when both my husband and myself ended up violently sick all night with food poisoning. After all of that, we will NEVER be back to that Red...
