I've been an antiques dealer for nearly 20 years now. This mall is very typical of a good mall. There are high end items among lower end. Something for everyone.
To give them a mediocre or bad rating because things are "all stuffed in there" you need to step back and understand it's a MALL. That means there are many different dealers that are renting small spaces. They have to get all of their items in that small space. That's why there isn't as much rhyme or reason to where things are compared to a SHOP where only one person owns everything and they can stage all the items relative to each other.
As for the older lady working there that didn't take the time to tell you about your jewelry.... The mall is in business to make money. Giving you advice about your items earns them nothing other than possibly a customer. Just because someone works in antiques does NOT mean they are knowledgeable about each type of antique. Most of us have a basic, general knowledge but then specialize in a few areas. There are laws about what someone can tell you about your items. Very strict laws that have to do with appraisals and such. Anyone without a license for appraising items can be held liable and sued if they overstep those boundaries.

One of the workers showed me some old plates, cups, etc. that has traces of uranium in them - and it glows under a black light! I found another booth that had old oil lamps converted into lamps, which were very cool! I only had about 20 minutes to spend in here, which was not nearly enough. You could spend an afternoon here and see a small portion of what is here. If you like antiques, you'll...
Read moreI love this place because there's such a huge variety, from furniture to knick-knacks, dishes, toys, cameras, jewelry, books, it's amazing. Brings back so many memories walking through the isles of treasure. If you're an antique lover, or shopping for a gift for one you know then don't forget to stop here, they've got you covered. Incredibly fair prices as well. Nothing is drastically overpriced or marked up, I was very happy with the prices, the store operator is awesome, just stop in and see for yourself, I promise you'll be in love with this establishment as soon as you walk through the door. Yesterday's Village,...
