IHOP — Restaurant in Yucca Valley

As someone who lived in the city before moving to Yucca, I was glad that the town was finally bringing in more variety of foods/ restuarants. I was over the moon to know that IHop, my favorite restuarant, would open here! But I was quite dissapointed when I finally went in. Not only do they take FOREVER to bring your food (I waited an hour), by the time they bring it, it's cold. And though they just opened the food was pretty bland as well, (no real flavor). Also as I was opening my utensils from their napkin, I found that the fork I was about to use had food still on it! It was pretty disgusting to know that they don't properly clean, I mean it's one thing to not have the right taste yet, since they just opened. However the cleanliness should ALWAYS be a priority to ensure the health for the customer. Another thing that really gets me upset is that they bring you the food and your check at the same time! Not even letting you eat your food first and have them ask you if you're fine, or if you'd like something else. I feel like they were rushing me, and that's also a downer. I also see that the workers are more into their side conversations than concentrated on their jobs! It's most likely why things aren't done right in this facility. In all, I don't recommend anyone going here, you'll be in for rude service, cold food, and most likely dirty dishes...

My family and I went for breakfast, and the hostess asked us to wait while she seated another customer. It took like 7 minutes for her to get back to us. When she did, she gave us (a party of 5) two menus and asked us to sit in the waiting area and look at the menu for a minute while she got back to us. We waited for nearly 10 minutes, during which every time she and the other female staff member out front were by us, they absolutely avoided looking at us. I peeked at the seated customers and was surprised to see that the place was nearly empty. I also noticed that all the seated customers were Caucasian, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt about it being a race thing. We were quite hungry, so the next time the hostess walked by I asked how long the wait would be, and she snapped at me that they were understaffed, there was only one cook, and that they were doing the best they could. We left. Had she been upfront about the real wait time from the beginning instead of saying to wait “a minute,” we could have made a decision about staying or leaving instead of wasting our time. Also, snapping at me for asking a question based on what SHE had told us...

Our IHOP is fairly nice, they have pretty decent food too. I guess what You may expect from an IHOP. The staff is nice and they do their best, we haven't had any problems when ever we go. It can get fairly busy though, especially on the weekends. So as a local that's my only complaint. The quality is Good though, the service is Good too. I'd recommend stopping in if you're cruising through Yucca Valley. You want something comfortable and simple, try IHOP. I'm bragging here, The Coffee Bar is Great, You can just walk in and get the Best Coffee in our Town! I've lived here more than 10 years, honestly it's better than the Starbucks. There are plenty of parking spaces and it's located right off the main highway. It's clean, it's yummy and I don't ever feel like I'm not welcome. There are bathrooms inside for customers. It is also in the main part of town as you drive through. So there are plenty of other stores if You need. Really You can't miss it, super easy to get too. Family friendly and...
