Can't tell you if the food is good, but the customer service was horrendous.
My family and I came here on a Monday night, and ordered one kids pizza, an individual pizza, a bowl of pasta with a side salad.
We waited for over an hour and 15 minutes for our food and never got it. During that time we were never asked if we needed a refill, nor did anyone tell us that it was crowded, please forgive the wait etc. Maybe they could have at least brought the side salad to hold us over?
I watched the party seated 2 min ahead of us eat, pay and leave in that time and watched 2 other larger parties be seated after us and get their food before us. Not sure if it was cause we moved seats, which they offered us for more space or if it was because we were the only black family there, but I can't tell you how upset I was, watching two other groups get their food before us. Both of the tables served before us had larger orders than we did and one of them also ordered the same pizza type and size as ours yet somehow they got the 1st one out of the kitchen. They also had a child the same age as ours who did not have to wait 1 hour plus for food.
After not being acknowledged, and waiting over an hour we walked out fuming.
The decent thing for the team there to do was, to come over and let us know how much longer it would be. How about offer to comp an appetizer, or some bread?offer to bring salad first or at the least apologize for the wait?
I know they saw the disgust on my face when I watched not one but two parties get served. Not to mention all the take out and pickup orders that went out. The restaurant is not that big, there are only about 7 tables.
This might be an age thing, and I will say they were grossly understaffed with only 2 waiting tables and 2 in the kitchen at dinner rush ...but I grew up in an era where the customer was always right, and customer service was crucial to a business's bottom line.
I was so close to cursing the waitress out, but I was with my daughter and didnt want to set a bad example on dealing with poor customer service.
I did tell her I was going to leave bad review of this place and let others know about...
Read moreHad been craving pizza after a long day of play and adventure in Joshua Tree. This place was one of many with high ratings. Advertised on their door were a number of awards they had won for service/friendliest staff. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had. We were greeted with what do you want?! We didn't know... we just stepped in. We asked for a table for two. Upon walking in, there was plenty of space (~10 seats open). The gentleman at the ordering desk was quite rude and didn't have a very welcoming attitude. While we were waiting to be seated, he shouted over to us saying that we had better hurry up before it fills up and that we loose our seat... didn't quite make sense when we were waiting for him to seat us. You order at the front desk and then have a seat in the dining area (limited seating) it does get somewhat busy. We had the JT Fest and the Mayhem individual pies. Depending on how hungry you are, an individual pie is plenty for 2 people. We both left with leftovers. We also ordered chicken wing, which take quite a bit of time to ge, but they were worth the wait. Upon getting our pie, we asked for a side of ranch. The couple next to us requested the same. The same employee walks away to get ranch an, under his breat, exclaims that he should have charged us 50 cents... how were we supposed to know?! Then threw the sides of ranch on the table - his response didn't feel super warranted. The pizzas themselves were good. I'm not sure I would call them anything super special or unique. While it was a good meal, it was nowhere close to deserving an award for their "friendly service". I'm a bit disappointed, but pleased...
Read moreA hidden gem in yucca valley. A hidden gem indeed. This amazing restaurant is behind KFC. When I first came in this restaurant, I was welcomed with such a warm hello. I have a feeling that he was the owner. When you look at the menu, you can tell that they based their restaurant on a music theme. All of the names of their food is a music title. Their restaurant has a cool pizzeria vibe. I ordered an individual pizza and a Morrison for dessert. My husband ordered the go with the flow sandwich. It has peppers and sausages with a red sauce. He also ordered a cheesecake with a caramel drizzle. They used the same dough for their desserts like the Morrison and looks like their sandwiches as well. My pizza crusts was really good. I ordered an individual pizza so I can put my own twist on it. Sausages , portobello mushrooms and pineapple is my jam. The tastes of my pizza has this sweet and tangy taste because of the pineapple and it was great. My dessert was amazing. I am not into sweets and this was so good, I didn't finish it because I want to take it home. My husbands sandwich was huge in a way that he couldn't eat it as a sandwich. He had to it with a fork and knife. It could get away as a open faced sandwich actually. The cheesecake looks like it was homemade. The crusts was a little too thin but that didn't bother my husband that much. I would recommend this hidden gem. Bring family and friends. Bring lovers and enemies. It is very good. And if you dont want to go?, and you live in Yucca Valley?, what do you know?, they deliver! Not in Yucca...
