My wife bought a mirror for our living room and when we opened the box we saw a crack on the mirror frame. We tried to return it but they said we couldnât because the box doesnât have a barcode. The barcode is a sticker and it was on the mirror. When I opened the box I took the sticker off but I lost it after. So when I tried to return the mirror. They told me I can't until I find it. I just find it interesting because on the back of the mirror you can see staples on the crack. It seems to me like someone tried fixing it but they failed miserably. The crack is so big that you can see it from far away. I just find it strange that not one worker caught this. My wife paid $80 for it. Without the barcode I can't return it so now I'm stuck with it. I don't recommend this store at all. They don't have barcodes on the boxes sometimes, so if it's on a sticker DON'T LOSE IT! Home goods will not let you return it without one.    Read moreI never write reviews but my experience today was ridiculous. I went in to return an item that i previously purchased with my husband. We used his debit card at the time to pay. When I went in today I had the receipt, the items and all the packaging with the barcodes; however the cashier said she could only give me store credit because I did not have my husbandâs debit card. She requested my ID in order to give me the store credit. I tried to use the store credit about 15 minutes later (different cashier) and they asked for my ID again in order to be able to use the credit. I asked the cashier if they tie your ID to the store merchandise card and she said they do. I said what about gift cards do you need your ID to use a gift card (itâs basically the same thing as a merchandise card). Honestly makes zero sense. Talk about crappy customer service. She marked it down not originally how she had said it but she also marked it down wrong from the price already indicated, even though it was a only a dollar or two difference itâs still my money and she was being rude and laughing at the situation telling me âyou want me to refund you a dollar â??
