Kohl's — Local services in Zanesville

Lots of parking available. Good size department store. Lots of clothing, shoes, and kitchen appliances to offer. Children's clothing, toys, housewares, jewelry, sports clothing, more! The majority of the staff are unpleasant and not too friendly or helpful, some even rude, as if we are wasting their time with questions on where a certain item would be located. Lack of smiles and salutations. If they're having a bad day or not want to be there, it is not the customers you should take it out on. Just putting it out there. Kohl's used to be a lot friendlier many years past. What happened??? Certain clothing departments are cluttered and unkept. We see staff walking about and talking, ignoring the mess? Customer service is a hit or miss. Sometimes friendly and sometimes very rude and the tone they give is unappreciated. We hear and see the interactions with staff and other customers also, not just our personal experience. Customer service relations meetings need to be in place?! We do not shop here often anymore but once or twice a year because of these experiences. We used to have a Kohl's charge but cancelled it a long time ago. We also used to shop here quite frequently when they opened and for a few years afterwards, like 4-6 times a month. No more. We hear customers leaving with complaints and upsets. Other than the poor attitudes from a lot of employees, Kohl's do offer a lot of things to shop for. With that said, I hesitantly recommend this store to shop in but be aware of the poor customer service. Hopefully they read this review and will be friendly to their customers in the future! They have cleaned up the store and had everything looking stocked and in place. I wasn't fighting to get through the racks of clothes. There is plenty of items to shop through, but the last time I was there it had felt overwhelming, tight and claustrophobic. I did not experience any of that this time! The staff was friendly and helpful, both out on the floor and at the register. The girl at checkout was so nice! A high school girl who actually talked and interacted with us. My daughter and I both left with smiles and a laugh after the interaction with her. Truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. She seems to like her job, so to me that speaks well of Kohls too. I was in the store today with my daughter. There was a strange smell in the store when we there. When my daughter said something to me about the smell, the store associate that walked by us gave us the dirtiest look as if we were breaking a store rule. The ladies bathroom was deplorable-it smelled like somebody had thrown up in there. Then the cashier was rude, mean, & just down right unfriendly. Tried to pressure both myself & my daughter into signing up for a Kohl's card(which we were not interested in doing). Not sure we will be back in the store...
