Better than a lot of the competitors both in price as well as options & availability.

Was a bit surprised by the lack of options regarding backyard birding supplies (housing/feed).

Not sure if the seasonal rotation takes place sooner than expected but appears that it may be case with some merchandise.

Staff is above & beyond friendly and helpful - and there is a feline resident in charge of “rodent control” who is always happy for a visit. On our last trip, she was in the garden center napping on bagged soil.

This is part of a complaint that was sent through the app/site, as staff “encouraged” us to use the app -

~Firstly, my husband and I were there to load landscaping stone and the cashier who I'm not sure of the name went right by us no offer of help. We encountered her again at check out wherein she was dictating to Karen (cashier) what we had on the dolley and then we were going to use our veteran discount and both were very flippant about it. "We don't do that out here; they've changed that policy"

Okay, how so? "You've got to use the app"

The discount wasn't honored and Karen stated "well it's not like you had to pay tax..."

I'm not very pleased with these responses nor the lack of offered assistance, especially since we've never encountered "service" like this at that location until today~

We just had an extremely disappointing experience with this store. We have been searching for the animatronic Grinch and were told that this store had two, which likely meant one in a box and one display. We immediately called and spoke with a male in the garden department who told us that he had one in a box. He even put us on hold to physically retrieve it and claimed that it was sitting in front of him as we spoke. He then took my credit card number and arranged for payment and delivery. The day before it was scheduled for delivery we received a notification that our delivery would arrive and we waited all day. When we had heard nothing by evening we called and were told that our order had been cancelled days earlier by a different store and the Zanesville store has no record of the transaction. So, either the employee that we spoke to lied to us and sold us something that did not exist or it did exist and the store sold it to someone else after selling it to us. We live in Delaware county, so it is possible that the Zanesville store could not deliver to us even though we were told otherwise. If we had been told, we would have happily made the trip. We are now without our product and with absolutely no hope of getting one this season because we stopped our search once we had purchased one that was on its way. Ho Ho Humbug Home Depot.
