I recently booked a hair service with Cody Elliot at the Zanesville Ulta. Before the appointment, I had a consultation where I clearly explained what I wanted and showed her a reference photo. She assured me she could 100% achieve it.
The appointment ended up lasting 7 hours. Toward the end, she became visibly impatient, told me she was supposed to be home hours ago, and rushed through the rest. My hair looked almost the same as when I came in.
I returned the next day because the result wasnât what I asked for. During the follow-up, she told me I just needed âsome toning.â While applying toner, she dropped it in my eye (which burned badly) and even on my phone. The process was messy, with product all over my shoulders and the mirror, despite me wearing a cape.
When she finished, she told me, âSorry itâs not as good as the AI girls,â implying my reference photo wasnât real. That photo was of someone I know personally. She also warned me that if I went to another salon, my hair would âmost likely break off,â Hence I can't get it done anytime soon to fix her mistakes.
In the end, I paid a high price for results that look nothing like the photo I provided, no final styling, and an overall rude, unprofessional experience. I left feeling disappointed, disrespected, and frustrated. I will not be returning to this Ulta location and do not recommend booking with...
   Read moreI went to Ulta on May 18th to get my makeup done for my engagement photos. This wasnât my first choice, but I was desperate and really just wanted a good makeup application for my photos. I told the lady that I would like a soft glam look, neutral colors(Iâll be wearing white), and nothing bold. She picked out her makeup, applied, told me it was looking great. When she turned me around to look in the mirror, I was DEVASTATED. She used a black/dark brown looking eyeshadow that wasnât blended with anything else and just rubbed on and faded off to the side of my face. The lipstick she chose was purple. And I had about three lashes on each eye because the mascara was so clumped, she also kept trying to put mascara on my bottom lashes, but it just smeared everywhere and she tried to cover it with more foundation, which just made it look like I had dark circles under my eyes. She wanted to âfixâ it, but I had no time to experiment and it needed to be completely removed. I told her Iâd fix it at home and Iâd just like to go. I paid for her services, had a good cry, wiped it off, and fixed it myself. Please do not go here...

I am not one to write many reviews but I just had to get on here and say what an incredible experience my children and myself had today in this store. The general manager went above and beyond and had a personality that shined brighter than anyone I have ever meant. All the staff were very knowledgeable of where products were located and took their time to help us but not overly pushy on us. The only somewhat negative thing I can say about this location was they didnât have all of their displayed items in stock but again it was their first day. I am a very loyal Ulta customer and I am super happy that now I donât have to drive over 40...
