I had to use this pawn shop as an FFL to receive a new rifle, and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The shop itself was dark, dirty, and reeked of mold, decay, and cigarette smoke—honestly one of the most unpleasant environments I’ve stepped into.

The man running the place was rude, forgetful, and seemed overwhelmed by a basic transfer. I did my paperwork as instructed, but then was told to come back the next day with $25 in cash—he didn’t accept cards or any other form of payment.

When I returned, I signed more forms, handed over the $25 (a $20 and a $5 bill), and watched him place it on a stack of cash behind him. Then he suddenly realized he gave me the wrong paperwork, had me sign again, and asked for the $25 a second time. When I told him I’d already paid, he flat-out denied it and got angry. I pointed to the exact spot where he’d placed my money—still sitting there—and only then did he back down. His response? “FINE, GET OUT AND DON’T SHIP ANYTHING ELSE TO MY STORE!”
