RetroFlex Fitness (24hr Member Access) — Local services in Zephyrhills

I've been a member of dozens of gyms since I started exercising 25 years ago. RetroFlex in Zephyrhills is one of my all time favorites. I purchased a two month membership in Jan. 2024 as a "snowbird" returning home to visit my mom and share my home state with my wife. I never expected the gym to be a highlight of my vacation. But Retroflex helped me start each day just right. The SiriusXM 90s/2000s Rock channel sets a great atmosphere for a strong workout. Every morning the staff were diligently vacuuming and cleaning the whole gym. The morning members were very friendly! It's a great membership base - The people there actually work out and don't just sit around chatting it up. Members return weights where they got them and have great overall gym etiquette. The gym is spacious while still being filled with fantastic equipment. Free Motion, Life Fitness, all the old school quality brand from the 90s and 2000s is available. You've got old school calf machines, squat racks, and anything else you can imagine. As the name implies there's a comfortable "retro" throwback motif reflecting the glory days of bodybuilding. Hundreds of signed photos and memorabilia of bodybuilders line the walls and videos from fitness competitions play on the TVs in the free weight area. It's a motivating visual while also not being intimidating to newcomers. The center's staff and members are very welcoming to visitors of all experience levels. I lived in Zephyrhills for 4 years and was a member at another chain gym the whole time. I did not realize Retro was open 24 hours with key access. I tried the gym one day when all the other gyms were closed down. Retro was open. I was blown away. A REAL gym for REAL lifters! If you are serious about fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting or just getting more fit...this is your gym! Obviously created by, and ran by serious lifters. Great equipment, with tons of variety! Keeping all of the old school equipment mixed in with great modern tech. Up tempo rock music playing. TV's have inspirational videos playing. Posters of bodybuilders, fitness competitors of every category on the walls to inspire. Tributes to military and Law enforcement! And the people and Vibe of this gym are unreal!! I have not had a bad workout since joining! Facilities clean and extremely well maintained! Pricing is great! If you cant get into your best shape at this gym..its 100% on you!...

My husband has been going to this gym on and off for the last 5 years (he switched gyms for two years when he lived with me in Valrico). This gym is amazing! he was very unmotivated at the other gym. He went to, but when he convinced me to move to Zephyrhills, he joined again and he looks amazing! Not only that he feels amazing! The staff is super friendly and very nice. The gym is clean and people are friendly. The thing that surprised me the most was that most gems smell disgusting … especially smaller gyms. This establishment doesn’t smell at all!
