Hotel junior kuppanna (New branch) — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Having visited Junior Kuppanna branches in Tanjavur, and Kodaikanal we were very much in love with their food. I expected the same when we saw a branch in Ooty. But I was very disappointed.

They have two hotels in Ooty. One in the Commercial Road and the other in Coonoor Road. We went to the one in Commercial Road for dinner. The food waste and used plates kept near the hand wash was nauseating when we first washed our hands forcing us to leave the place immediately. Then next we went to the one in the Coonoor Road. Sat on a table and waited for almost half an hour for the waiter to attend us and only for him to tell us that only Dosa's are available at the moment and the rest of the food needs more waiting as the rest of the food needs preparing from the branch at Commercial Road and...

This mail is not regarding food review, we have very good opinion on food taste and hygiene,

Yesterday we had been insulted in Junior Kuppanna New branch Ooty, please see parking footage between 4 10 PM to 4 30 PM on yesterday 28th April 2024.

My 3 years kid playing in the parking lot, unfortunately he kicked small silver foil which contains some chicken pieces (it was thrown by someone), we were explaining the situation to one of your employee but he was very rude to my kid and with me.

I worried that your employee doesn’t know how to behave with kids and with customers, he threatened me that he will not allow my car out until I clean the mess,

I request your explanation on what was our mistake and why he threatened...

The guy who managed the seating during busy lunchtime messed up the experience. We gave our name and number of people and were waiting for him to call our name. We saw him writing down the name. So, we moved away from the entrance to make it less crowded. Saw many people leaving after food and many those who came after us getting called. He doesn't follow the list and just calls people who stay near the door and looking at his face. When we realized that we are not getting called, we went to him and asked what happened? He said, "Oh, sorry, please wait another big group is about to finish their meal, you will get your seat soon"...what the... No complaints about the food. The location is very convenient, and ample parking space...
