I don’t even know how we found this restaurant, as my research on trip advisor only yielded different Venues. However, google reviews were great, prices seemed fair and we like the flair and Ambiente of the restaurant. Not too posh, focused on a good and satisfying meal. We were welcomed by very proactive and friendly staff. Took the house wine for a very reasonable price that was GREAT. Better than some expensive bottled wine we ordered in the past. We thought about an appetizer but the well priced meats made us decide to go for meat and fries only. We asked for the actual size/weight of the Rib Eye steak, as the range on the menue was 400-600 gram, with even the low range being a quite opulent meal. The waiter actually got us a list of all available cuts to chose from. Wow. Needless to say, I took the biggest of the smaller ones with around 400g. The meat was on point and served on a hot plate. Only little inedible fat/other parts, thus a very filling and satisfying meal. Fries as sides were the best we got in whole Albania/Balkans. Actually fried, not only baked potatoes. To top it all off, the chef personally came to ask whether the food was good. A 10/5 experience.

The highlight of the evening was the ribeye steak. Not only was I presented with an assortment of cuts by the chef himself—a gesture that speaks volumes about their dedication to customer satisfaction—but the steak I chose was cooked to perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and paired expertly with a side of the most delightful french fries, it was a dish that truly stood out.
Adding to the culinary delight, I opted for some goat cheese, which was rich, creamy, and complemented the main course beautifully. Each bite was a testament to the quality ingredients and skillful preparation that Smoke House prides itself on.
Before I left, I was introduced to a local Albanian drink, Raki Mani. This was not just a gesture of hospitality but also speaks a lot about the interest of their crew to have a happy customer. The drink was superb.

Read moreWhat a find. Lovely restaurant and staff. We were celebrating so decided on the smokehouse salad, chips, grilled vegetables and medium rare tomahawk steak. All perfectly executed - full of flavour and seasoning. We ordered the tomahawk and the chef came out with the choice of cut before cooking it. When mixed together the food selection it was a joy to eat. The atmosphere decor is of a friendly academics front room, so simple but with character. The staff were attentive and prompt and the owner was on hand to make sure we enjoyed our food. We did order an extra grilled vegetables which were slow in coming and we were offered to stop to order, which we did. The chef then came out to apologise which was not needed, but appreciated. It's rare to find find such ownership of the restaurant on so many levels - from The waiters to the chef in a restaurant these days, and was delightful to find. We finished off woth their dessert which was ice cream on top of baklava - bearing in mind they only had one offering, the taste was sublime with the crunchy pastry baklava steeped in honey with walnuts.
