Really awful experience dining last night.
We visited because it was the only busy-looking restaurant around, and wanted a quick bite to eat on our final evening in Albania. Sadly it was incredibly disappointing.
Started off ordered 2 drinks, Aperol Spritz & Cowboy Sour which was supposed to be a whiskey sour. The Aperol spritz was flat, either the Prosecco, or soda or both, and was added as two separate charges on the bill, not the 500lek as advertised but 700lek. The bill is also dropped as soon as you order & extra added on if you order more, felt rushed and weird - not sure if this is normal for Albania but we didn’t experience it anywhere else. We were told one of the charges would be removed when paying and if we had waited she would’ve said that- seems odd.
The whiskey sour was nothing like a whiskey sour, and in the end we didn’t pay for it and replaced it with a vodka lemon, which we had to retrieve off the bar ourselves as the one waitress was running around. Apparently that’s what their whiskey sours always taste like.
The caeser salad came out about 10 minutes before the pasta- we weren’t sharing- so I had to wait to eat mine. It was soggy and nothing special. The pasta was so salty it was basically inedible, no check back and no questions when the plates were cleared. My friend ate a few mouthfuls because we had been travelling all day and we were starving. So we didn’t query this on the bill- we just wanted to go at this point.
The waitress was unhelpful and not apologetic or polite about any of the issues.
I wouldn’t return and...
Read moreI’m a bit surprised by the negative reviews, my friends and I had an amazing experience here. We’ve been travelling around the Balkans for a while and wanted to get something different for lunch. We found out about this place and figured we’d give it a try, and we were immediately excited by all the options on the menu.
Unfortunately we couldn’t try everything on the menu, so we ordered a few starters to share. The coleslaw isn’t your standard one, and comes with a great green sauce. The fries are excellent and the Mac and cheese balls were so packed with flavour. The chicken wings are deep fried, not my thing, but my friends loved them. The quesadilla to top it off was so delicious and came with a great salsa.
I also got the craft beer which was really nice and super affordable, and we topped it off by trying to brownie and the cheesecake, which we thought were delicious, especially the cheesecake.
The vibes in the place are super nice and I love the theme, it’s a very cool concept. The wait staff were very nice, and honestly we’ve come to expect poor service in most restaurants here, so for us this was above average.
Overall I think it’s definitely worth a try if...
Read moreWell, i didn't really want to review this place for fear it might become too popular. I come from Australia and we believe we have some pretty good beef there. I've been to this place twice in less than a week now and already am thinking of going there again tonight. I had the eye fillet on the bone with mashed potato and vegetables the first night and WOW, was i pleasantly surprised. For the equivalent of $12.50 Australian I had a meal worth more than twice that in Australia. Last night I had the filet mignon at just a little bit more of the cost and WOW once again. There are plenty of choices on the menu, lots of room, a great atmosphere and they will take Euros. I must to go here if you like steak. So went there again last night and had the best value for money rib-eye, picture attached. I can’t talk this place up enough. I have been back time and time again over the last 4 weeks. Have tried the pork rack of ribs twice, tomahawk steak twice and the rib-eye plenty more times since my previous review. Really like the vegetables that are on offer and the mashed potato is good....
