I recently visited Arte Pizzeria, expecting an amazing Neapolitan pizza experience, especially given its reputation. However, I left somewhat disappointed. I ordered the Margherita pizza, a classic choice that should showcase the best of Neapolitan flavors. While the pizza was well-made in terms of technique—perfectly cooked crust, a nice balance of sauce, cheese, and basil—it fell flat in terms of taste. The flavors were surprisingly bland, lacking the vibrant, rich taste that I’ve come to love from true Neapolitan pizzas in Naples.
It’s a shame because the fundamentals were there, but it just didn’t capture the essence of what makes a Margherita pizza special. Maybe my expectations were too high, given my experiences in Naples, but I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed. If you’re looking for a decent pizza, Arte Pizzeria delivers on that front, but if you’re seeking an authentic Neapolitan experience, it might not...
Read moreThe vibes at night here are amazing. The high ceilings with hanging lights in the court yard, truly beautiful. The pizza, my favorite was 4 cheese, Roquefort really stood out and mushroom one. Does it taste Italian,no? But it’s Neapolitan style so it’s still a very nice chewy dough. The pizza was delicious! The apps, we got the eggplant which came out cold out of the fridge which I think could’ve tasted better warm. Tiramisu was sooo good, not a firm one. More liquid consistence but delicious. The chocolate mousse was the only thing id avoid getting too thick, more like fudge than mousse and it comes drenched in l olive oil which I thought over killed it. My only complaint is the service, not very nice! From the hostess to the waitress not very accommodating. The waitress sarcastically said no when I asked if she spoke English and smirked. I thought that was so odd. Nevertheless I...
Read moreThis is a super cool spot with authentic napoli-style pizzas! We're so glad it's close by where we'll be staying for a few months, and we'll be back LOTS while we are here. My wife and I spend time in Capri each year so are lucky to have become napoli-style pizza snobs :) and although a lot of places call themselves napoli-style, Atte. delivers! This time we weren't super hungry so only had one pie, the jamon y hongo. It was spot-on delicious the sauce was super fresh and tasty the cheese was high-quality and the toppings were great. But the real test is the crust, and this was awesome nice & puffy around the edges and the rest very thin and perfectly charred. And the endive salad is an awesome appetizer. Special shout out to Belen (and another very nice woman hostess but I can't remember her name), plus Tomas they are super sweet and...
