Dandy Madero — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I normally do not write reviews about poor service but I know management would see my review and decided it was worth my time. We came for an early dinner around 5:30 and were seated at a table in a corner. We sat there for 30 minutes and no acknowledgment so my hubby got up and asked for a menu. 15-20 minutes later the Hostess came over and took our order. We sat there for another 30 minutes and were not acknowledge at all by any servers even though there was a man server working in our area. I decided to speak with the man at the podium who I was told was the manager. A young woman said he was the manager but did not speak English and asked how she could help. I told her we were being ignored and still after 30 minutes after we ordered that we still had not received our drinks or any acknowledgment. She said our food was ready and maybe 10 min later our food was delivered. It was just very odd to us. We have traveled all over the world and are not demanding but being totally ignored was odd. The food was good but the service was poor. I hope the management can address this problem with his staff. We would have loved to order desert but no one ever talked with us or checked in with us. Overpriced for quality of food. Marketing is much better than product delivered, a bit deceiving actually. Quite disappointed in my selection of the pancho but apparently because I have had a much better one before. Still didn’t get what I was expecting from the photos. Comes with a gross side (for me) of cold fries covered in liquid cheese. The pastrami sandwich which was double the price looked much more appealing and worth the extra cost (friend’s choice), but still I would not come back for anything. We also had two of the quiches which I was told would not be chosen again, however, the one I tasted seemed ok, but I don’t know much about quiches. Empezamos con que la recepcionista o anfitriona (no se para que los ponen a recepcionar gente) ni nos acomodó, le pedimos una mesa para 3 y nos dijo sientense donde quieran, estando el 80% del local ocupado y las mesas que estaban libres estaban todas sucias. Conseguimos una mesa afuera, pero nos daba todo el sol, despues de esperar 15 minutos a que se acercaran a la mesa a limparla, pedimos por favor si nos podian proporcionar una sombrilla, la señorita de mala gana nos dijo que no, cuando los pies de sombrillas estaban al lado de la mesa, nos dijo que no se podia poner sombrilla ahi. Nos dejaron la carta y la chica desapareció, como no nos pudieron proporcionar la sombrilla tuvimos que esperar a que una mesa con sombra se desocupara. Tomamos una pero nuevamente tardaron como 10 minutos en darse cuenta para limpiarla. En fin, cuando ya teniamos listo el pedido se nos acerco un mesero, que ni nos saludo, y estaba con mala cara, nos pregunto que queriamos. Yo le pregunté que tamaño eran las porciones de torta de postre, queriamos compartir entre los 3, solo me dijo son individuales y ni atino a aconsejarnos ni a decirnos que torta nos convenía. Para esto, tuvimos que repetirle tres veces lo que queriamos, no tenia ni un anotador, ni tablet. Al final pedimos, un americano, un latte y un capuccino para tomar y un cinammon Roll para compartir (no teniamos ni idea de que otra cosa pedir, porque no se interesaron en ayudarnos a elegir). Cuando llego el pedido, los cafes todos tibios-frios, el chico solo trajo un tenedor para los tres, y el cinammon Roll sequísimo, se notaba que no era ni de ese dia ni el dia anterior. Se notaba que ni siquiera tenian comunicacion entre ellos, porque cuando estabamos esperando a que nos traigan la cuenta se nos acerco otra mesera a tomarnos el pedido. Y cuando la pedimos, ni siquiera nos despidió el mozo que nos atendió. La verdad muy decepcionante y vergonzoso, era la primera vez que mi suegra iba.
