Reservations are recommended but we came early, before 8pm on a Thursday, and had no issue being seated without reservations. This place was made known to me through Bourdain and I am sure glad I gave this place a try. Excellent service, excellent meal. The restaurant is casual yet wonderfully decorated with Evita art.

We started off with their fresh bread with a cilantro aioli. I actually am not a fan of the bread in Buenos Aires but this was an exception. Super soft on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside. Flavoring was great! Pair it with the aioli and you can't stop eating!

Entrees: Empanadas - Personally I think it was the best empanadas I had in Buenos Aires. We tried one of each including cheese, carne and osso bucco. The crust was super flakey, hot. The stuffing of the empanada were just as delicious. The whole combination was really good, both in texture and flavor.

Paku - Fish relative of the piranha. It was a delicious white fish. The fillet is huge and for 500 pesos, it was well worth it. It easily could be shared between 4 people. It came with arugula and roasted potatoes. The fish itself was tender with rock salt on top of it which was great! Tasted very fresh, no fishy taste.

Osso Bucco - The lamb was fall off the bone on a cloud of mashed potatoes. Meat was nicely seasoned and mashed potatoes had a good taste to it too. I wasn't sure if we got the right dish because it seemed everyone got the lamb shank but regardless, still a great choice.

This place is cash only so don't forget...

I'm so sad that this is what we show to tourists. The mafia who destroyed the country to a point of no return. And as it happened always in history, those with no education and unable to understand what's going on, venerate them as gods. I had to leave the Argentinian because of Peronists. I got tired of having half of my salary used to keep these 'people' who do nothing for the country but to claim for more money for nothing. My mum worked all her life and now she cannot buy her own medicine. My dad is a professional and cannot own a car. And these people could live in 'villas', true, but somehow they own the last model cars, last model phones, satellite tv, holidays, and all just by the money they get to follow this Peronists.

So tourists please... Know who are people you see in the pictures when you go there. Those people destroyed...

I wanted to love this place but didn't. For the second night in a row, I've had food in Buenos Aires that simply didn't meet basic standards for seasoning. I'll start with the positive: the service was great, and the vibe of the place is a welcoming neighborhood spot. I started with a buffalo meat empanada, and it was delicious. It had all of the flavor I'd expect from a quality empanada...and yet an usual twist with the meat choice. The rest of the meal was mediocre. The osso buco was cooked well, as the meat was tender. But despite the delicious-looking sauce that covered it, the dish (neither the meat nor the mashed potatoes) had any flavor. I picked at it and left the rest. The flan was...ok. I've had much better. The price was reasonable: total meal was under $50USD.

Good classic Argentinan food with great execution, really big portions as well. The food won't disappoint here. The only negative things where that for me as a non Spanish speaker if was really hard to understand the menu, much harder than any other place I've been to. An English menu would greatly help here. Also, when we ordered after a rather long time deciding, they informed us that what we ordered wasn't on the menu that day, something they could have said right away. The place is also really loud, and we had a hard time hearing each other at the table time to time. They also offer to bring leftovers home, which suite their portions well. Recommend for someone who want to try typical Argentinan food, wouldn't recommend for a date due to the loudness.
