La Cabaña Restaurant — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I-phone stolen - dinner - terrible steal by a kid. Please put this review on the top. Family of 3 members arrived there 7PM, sitting outside at a table of the inner row closer to the wall. A man holding a little boy and a girl 7yr appeared to beg money from the table close to the side walk. The girl entered into this dinning area and talked to me in Spanish which I did not understand. They got some food from a couple sitting in that table. My 14-yr daughter faced the side walk, and I faced to my daughter. My wife was sitting on my left hand side. We came from USA for a short visit and did not understand Spanish. We ordered our food and my daughter told me outside from the side walk there were people begging for money frequently. We finished our food and I asked for our bill. The waiter answered but did not bring it. My daughter would like to leave soon, so I went inside to pay my bill. AND importantly, I very likely left my cell phone on the table. The time from the receipt is 9:28PM. After we prepared for leaving, I realized that my cell phone disappeared! This is around 10PM. I could not find it around our table, I then went inside to double check the cashier. My daughter then told me that there was a boy ~6yr showed up to our table when I went inside to pay our bill. He came from a gap of bush fence, behind an old gentlemen, and came to our table, standing on the right-hand side of my chair, and put a t-shirt or jersey-like cloth on the table, which may be right over my cell phone, and looked at my daughter. Then my daughter shook her head. He quickly grab the cloth (possibly my cell phone) and left. When I checked my wife, she did not see anything unfortunately--maybe she focused on her own cell-phone doing something . During entire dinning, the waiter/waitress/manager did not point out any caution of such terrible skilled crimes! My cell phone is XR silver. I talked to the manager over an hour (with language barrier and waiting for police) and then spent hours in the police department to get a report. I am writing this review with my receipt here. All these efforts are meant to make a record and make a warning to future dinners. I do hope that the manager/the restaurant team can do something to get my cell phone back! If so, I would...

Service and food was terrible. We were served by a young server who constantly forgot what we ordered. We began by ordering an expensive magnum bottle - the server tried to serve us a different one - we had to argue and insist on the one that was on the menu, which we had ordered. We ordered several beef and other appetizers that took forever to arrive. The meat we ordered (which we had ordered bloody) was so overcooked it was impossible to eat. We were not able to eat at all and were quite disappointed as we had already spent about 2 hours at the restaurant. The server apologized and offered to bring us more eatable beef. Took another 40 for it to arrive (about 1 hour) but at least we managed to finally eat something. Afterwards, we ordered dessert and digiestives. Took forever as well - the restaurant lacked some of the dessert's ingredients and we had to remind other servers of our order to get our drinks. As soon as they arrived, the server shamefully asked us if he could bring the check as it was already too late and he had to leave... So we rushed our dessert while paying and quickly left. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It’s a tourist trap. My girlfriend asked for ( locro argentino) and the server told her that it wasn’t a good time to have that because it’s summer. instead she should pick something else ( then she asked for a burger ) the patty was well done, burned and tasteless she ended up eating the potato wages and the bread. I asked for haddock and was told that rise and mash potatoes was extra which I thought it was fair to pay for it. The haddock was raw and mushy almost pink. And I asked the server if he could do something about it, he said that’s how it’s cooked. The rise and mashed potatoes are the only things I ate. I traveled to Peru, Uruguay and argentina for this trip. Ate in 5,4,3 starts restaurants including street food l. And this is by very very Far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a restaurant. I hate to write a bad review but I strongly believe that people should have to go through what we went through. I didn’t have very good phone service so I couldn’t read the other reviews. ( shame on me). Please Stay away from This place.
