Awful. Don't go. We've been mistreated by a waiter. He was not only rude but desrespectful to us. If you go to a place and the products or the ambient aren't satisfying but the service is good, you might give it a second chance. If you go to a place and you are disrespected there is no way to return, even when the place itself is interesting. I had never ever been treated that bad before. To the owner: please, if not proper, at least try to hire polite and educated employees. In detail:

He approached to our table and didn't even said hi to us. He directly asked us to order. we asked permission to use the red blankets to lean our backs cause the chairs outside are a bit uncomfortable and other girl said that there were for "calming the chill". There were dishes I didn't know about so I asked him to give me one more minute to decide. He didn't talk back and ask my partner about his order. -when he returns with the beer he left it on the table with the most rude attitude. -Enough. We left the money there and face the exit. Focused on the screen, without even looking at us, the waiter said out...

If you're in San Telmo, you've got to stop for a meal at Pulpería Quilapán. The pulpería is full of knickknacks and relics. Everything in the Pulpería seems to have a story to tell. And if you're lucky enough to visit on a warm day, the backyard is a good place to have a meal or a picada under the tree. Food is good. If you're looking for comfort food or something to keep your belly warm on a winter day, go for any the guisos. Trust me, the guisos taste just like they would at home. Servings are not too big, so don't even think of sharing, let your selfish self surface and enjoy your full dish all by yourself. If you order by glass, wine comes in a tiny white pingüino, a miniature replica of the man-size pingüino guarding the front door. Their home made wine is surprisingly nice. Now for dessert, postre vigilante is served at perfect proportions of cheese and membrillo and cheese and batata. But my personal favorite here is budin de pan. At noon on weekends there are free guided tours of Pulperia Quilapan. So plan ahead, arrive early go for the tour and...

Like it's often the case in Buenos Aires, the best places are hidden away! Pulpería Quilapán is one of those best kept secrets! Just around the corner of Plaza Dorrega you'll find one of the oldest Argentinian mansions in the city and still standing. Decoration brings you back to memory lane and it's possible to eat in and outside. The menu is rather small but just the way I like it. From all the original Argentinian dishes I took the veal ribs. I was in for a surprise! One of the best ribs I've ever eaten in my life! The taste was delicious and cooked to perfection! I can only recommend this please cause it's just great!
