Usushi — Restaurant in Ushuaia

Arrived on a Friday night when they opened at 18.00. Service was quick & staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating when we asked for spicy additions.

The restaurant is modern and nicely decorated.

Whilst we were waiting for our food to arrive, we were given a tasty little dish of poached trout pate and some crisps to dip.

We ordered a selection of 5 different dishes, which were all delicious. Prices for sets of sushi rolls range from 15,000ARS - 18,000ARS (for between 6-10 pieces depending if its makis or sashimi etc). Snapshots of 2 of the dishes below.

They also have a list of wines, sodas and beeers. Its approx 6,000ARS for a local bottled beer.

The bill has a service charge on it and the waitress was honest enough to tell us and ask if we wanted to leave it on the bill, or take it off. We appreciated the honesty (as a lot of restaurants just add this without telling you). 😊

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air from the multitude of restaurants all along the high street serving...

First time we tried out the place we came physically and did a take out and everything went perfectly, the second time we did a delivery and they forget some things and it took a really long time to arrive. Some things were inconsistent, the first time we asked to have tariyaki sauce, the second time we got charged extra for it and the first time we didn't, and it would be the same for wasabi or ginger. Regarding the food it was really good, they have vegan options, you can get a large amount of sushi for a decent price, and overall I recommend the place, but maybe it's preferable to pick it up yourself so you'll be able to check that everything you asked for is there and it won't take so long. I also had the hot vegan roll buy would totally skip it for the extra cost, nice but nothing special, I would stick to the regular sushi which is really...

It's difficult to find good vegetarian options in this area - except sandwich and fries...I was lucky to have found this sushi place. They offer about 8-9 veggies that you can mix and match any way you like. They'll make it fresh to your order.
