I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it. The billing system is completely misleading and seems designed to extract more money from customers under unclear pretenses.
They are adding up to 10% extra to the bill, claiming it is a “service amount.” However, when I asked for clarification, I received different and conflicting answers from the staff—some said it’s a service charge, others claimed it’s tax, and a few had no explanation at all. This inconsistency is unacceptable and shows a lack of transparency and professionalism.
Even more concerning, it appeared that the bill was being manually edited, raising serious doubts about the integrity of their billing process. In English, a "bill" refers to a clear, itemized invoice, but what is being presented here is confusing and potentially deceptive.
If the additional charge were an official tax, that would be understandable. But disguising it as a vague “service amount” without clear communication feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers. This kind of manipulation is unethical and reflects very poorly on the management.
Additionally, the restaurant claims that it is halal, but based on the behavior and lack of ethical conduct shown in their service, I seriously question the authenticity of that claim. Halal is not just about the food—it is also about the honesty, integrity, and cleanliness of the service provided. Sadly, none of these values were reflected in my experience.
This was the first time in my life I have faced such dishonesty in a restaurant, and it left a deeply negative impression. I will not return, and I strongly discourage others from...

Read moreDuring my visit to Yerevan, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Indian Mehak Restaurant & Bar, and it turned out to be one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had outside of India.
I tried the Chilli Potato, Veg Manchurian, Veg Thali, and Masala Chai—and every single item was bursting with flavor and authenticity. The chilli potato was the perfect Indo-Chinese starter—crispy, spicy, and addictive. The veg Manchurian was rich, flavorful, and had the ideal balance of tang and heat. It’s hard to find good Indo-Chinese dishes abroad, but this place nailed it.
The veg thali was a complete meal in itself—generous portions, a great variety of curries, rice, roti, and even dessert. It felt like a comforting home-cooked Indian meal, and every dish had its own distinct flavor. And to end the meal, the masala chai was spot-on—fragrant, perfectly spiced, and served just the way it should be.
The staff was warm and welcoming, the ambiance was cozy yet elegant, and the service was quick and attentive. I was genuinely impressed with the quality and care they put into each dish.
If you’re craving real Indian food while in Armenia, Indian Mehak is the place to go. Highly...
