Disappointing.
I went here before with my hubby when it first opened as we are filipinos who want to support our kababayan and even though it was not as busy, our meal took more than 40 mins to arrive. We thought that it was because it’s a new cafe they’re still struggling how to manage taking orders, cooking times etc. Still enjoyed the leche flan croissant and thought will be back.
Today, I told my friend to meet up here as we are out shopping in the city but to our surprise it was so busy on a Wednesday but happy to have a seat. Our orders were taken straight away but had to once again wait for 40mins for our food to arrive. Understandable as a person who works in hospo, waiting for a long time is fine if it’s busy especially when it’s just a small kitchen. So disappointed when we ate and the rice was still uncooked. Had to tell the waitress nicely but still look like the chef was not happy. No apology and had to wait again for our food to arrive. No wait time was said. Second food arrive and mine was okay but my friend’s chicken had blood and still raw. She didn’t eat much of her chicken and just ate the egg and rice as she was hungry. Didn’t even complain the second time as it looks like they don’t really care. No one came back and ask if food was okay the second time. Apology was said while I was paying (too late) but still clueless as how they served us a raw chicken the second time. Leaving this review here to the people who want to try this place. Food is okay but customer service is bad. Try at your own risk.
Sad to say, we are not...
Read moreDefinitely not the place to go for a group more than 3, more so if you have guests from interstate.
Food and coffee was okay, but unfortunately, once you receive horrible customer service, you are left with a bad taste. Does not help either when you have to wait for a long time in freezing weather because you were declined to be sat inside even when there's seats available and we said it's ok to be seated separately. Coffee had gone cold waiting for the croissant to be served.
Would have preferred to have been politely declined in the first place or advised an estimated wait period because of our number so we could have considered our options, which other cafe/restos routinely do. Post a signage for pre-bookings only for groups as your kitchen is small. Don't put your menu overhead if you "can't have you" customers "wandering around". Don't advise for "next time" if you can't provide a pleasant service the first time.
Very disheartened to say, a Filipino inspired cafe lacking Filipino hospitality, or just plain...
Read moreWent for a group of 9 during peak hour for lunch on a Saturday. Surprised when they gave us an okay to serve us! We each ordered one main and coffee.
We waited for 1.5 hours before receiving our food. I ordered pork + rice bowl and was told that there's no rice left after waiting an hour, but the chef was kind enough to replace the rice with soba noodle. The same scenario with my other 2 mates.
Half an hour later, unfortunately they gave us all incorrect orders. We needed to return back and spoke with the staff. Weirdly, the staff who served us was a bit cranky, no apology was given, which was a let down.
The foods were great when delivered correctly to our table, the pork that I ordered is so tasty! There is peanut sauce in soba noodle and that is good too. I hope they do warn people with allergy as this is not written anywhere on the menu.
Afterwards, the chef was kind enough to give us an apology!
Overall, I wouldn't think I'll come back if the cafe is busy - too time consuming! But if it is empty, might...
