Today, I purchased a cappuccino with three equals (dine in). Generally, the service I experienced was good and the staff were friendly. However, I have some tips to improve business operations:

  1. Automatically provide customers with a tax receipt; customers should not need to ask for one.
  2. Have a greater range of non-sugar sweeteners available for customers; not just standard Equal sachets which contain phenylalanine (excess and long term consumption is linked with cancers). Why not offer Stevia as a more natural and healthier alternative?
  3. For people who dine in, place sugar and other additives in peoples' coffee for them; It's good service.
  4. Provide more newspapers; none were available at 12.45pm.
  5. Check in with customers during their dining experience. E.g. "How is everything today?" And, "Is there anything else you need or would like?" I didn't have a bad experience, but there is opportunity for your business to improve and increase sales. I am rating this cafe based on my experiences in Australia and over 10 years of knowledge and experience working in retail. If this was an international rating, it would be 2 stars, but it's important and fair to take into consideration...

I feel like I’m kicking a puppy a bit here, because the own of this place is clearly not having a good day and he still managed to say, while juggling a phone, a problematic efpos machine and picking up the servers slack ā€œre-fund, no problemā€. I thank him for that.

BUT I waited more than long enough to get my eggs and salmon and despite me reiterating a number of times that the eggs had to be medium poached, I could tell instantly that they were barely done when the plate finally arrived. Even buried under an inch of hollandaise, they wobbled. I suspect if they hadn’t been covered in sauce I’d have seen clear yolk. The guy who finally processed the refund on the owner’s instruction (same guy who had assured me that ā€œmediumā€ was no problem) clearly didn’t want me to have my money back and kept asking if I was ā€œsureā€ I didn’t want him to make me wait another 20 minutes.

Unimpressed severs and kitchen. Sorry...

The coffee crowd represents a diverse and dynamic community brought together by a shared appreciation for coffee. This group fosters a sense of belonging and camaraderie, making coffee shops vibrant social hubs where people from different backgrounds and walks of life can connect and engage in meaningful conversations. Additionally, the coffee crowd often includes a mix of professionals, creatives, and students, contributing to a stimulating atmosphere that encourages the exchange of ideas and collaboration. Coffee gatherings also support local businesses and contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of neighborhoods. By cultivating an inclusive and interactive environment, the coffee crowd enhances social cohesion and enriches the community experience. Food is always fresh and delicious!! Met a stunning young lad Named Alexander. He entertained the whole shop with his great busking...

A fantastic venue in the Adelaide CBD. The coffee and the German apple cheesecake slice was fantastic. A big disappointment, from my observation, was the response of the staff, who seemed to adopt a lackadaisical attitude and had no notion of an understanding and meaning of customer service. The owner an elderly gentleman was pleasant, however it did not make up for the attitude of the young staff, who need to learn to smile, greet and treat customers with respect and make them feel welcome. I also observed customers who entered the shop looked around and left as their presence was not even acknowledged. Respect for all clients, regardless of colour or creed or whatever is crucial for the continued existence of any business.

Ordered eggs benedict from here and it was honestly clear the lack of care the kitchen takes with their food. One of my eggs was broken and looked like an egg you would receive from mcdonalds and the while the other one was at least intact it had been severely over cooked much like a hard boiled egg. The chef obviously realized this and decided to try to hide it by using an extreme amount of hollandaise and placing bacon on top of the egg instead of under it. Quite appalled by the lack of quality received here.

The appearance of my coffee was terrible. No latte art was not a big problem, but how come there were water bubbles🤯 The taste of coffee was weak, with a bit too much milk. It was below my expextation. Services were not good either. As usual, I said thank you before leaving, but the woman barista just glanced at me without saying anything. This food court is my favourite one in Adelaide CBD, as every food stall is doing pretty well. Hope this cafe can improve.
