During Covid 19 lockdown and restrictions, I came to Adelaide with my family in July 2021! and we were in the Pullman hotel quarantine for 14 days. We didn't have Australian travel adaptor for charging our laptops, which wasn't very pleasant and the hotel didn't support us with that issue. We were new immigrants and our final destination was Melbourne but there were so many limitations such as finding a flight, and cancelation of a flight just for Covid reasons, .... We shared our problem with other local friends in Melbourne and they called some others. less than an hour we received two adaptors in the hotel. When we walked up in the morning, someone put 3 coffee, one hot chocolate, and 4 pieces of cake behind our room door with our breakfast. Every morning we had the same story and the owner of Sylvia’s Cafe during our quarantine came and delivered the coffee to the hotel reception without any order or payment. We didn't see each other yet and we just call each other sometimes. Such a kind generous, amiable, affable, approachable, respectful, considerate, ... person .... I can't tell you in words I want just to say thank you to him and his wife for supporting my family. The only and best support during the hotel quarantine ... If you go to Sylvia’s Cafe, Send my regards and greeting to them ;) Reza

Absolutely fantastic experience at Sylvia’s Café! The moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful owners, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The atmosphere was cosy, and the service was top-notch! We tried their famous Greek burgers, and they were out of this world—juicy, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned! My wife had a gluten-free burger, and she was thrilled with how delicious and accommodating the café was to her dietary needs. This place is truly a gem, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Sylvia’s Café for anyone looking for amazing food and even better hospitality!

Coffee was outstanding, smooth; best we've tasted since visiting Adelaide over the past 3 days. On par with the best coffee we had in Melbourne. Poached eggs and fried eggs were cooked to perfection. Quick and friendly service. Background music was at perfect conversation level. All in all, this is an awesome cafe. Highly recommend.

I'm surprised to see so many high star reviews for the coffee at this place I was just in discussion with a friend about the worst coffee I've ever tried. initially I claimed Hungry Jacks made the worst coffees, but then I remembered I got the most putrid coffee I'd ever paid for in my life at this place

I used to work right next door to the place. I went once & never again because it was honestly a foul coffee. I opted to just go to foodland on the other side & never had anything close to a bad coffee from there

I feel mean coming here to rain on everyones parade, but there is no way this place makes top tier coffees. That or I managed to get the absolute worst coffee ever, it was on par with a badly made instant coffee. Either way, my experience was most definitely a 1 star experience that made me never consider going back.

I have a strong feeling a lot of reviews here are friends and family of the business owner. There is no way on earth these people are...
