Things I Find “Robby Robstar” InterestingThings I Find “Robby Robstar” Interesting
Ordered the seafood platter and was a little underwhelmed. Oysters were tiny, scallops were really nice, prawns were mushy, salt and pepper prawns were nice, 1 and a half fillets of garfish were dry, plain and over cooked, salt and pepper squid were nice but not much, and a tonne of chips. If it wasn't for the chips, we would of left hungry. As for the price, not really worth going back for that item. The staff on the night were below par. The guy that took us to our table could at least smile and made us feel welcome. He looked like he just wanted to go home. The girl that took our order was ok. We wanted extra kilpatrick oysters and on the menu it said extra for $14 with the platter. She explained that is to make the natural oysters on the platter into kilpatrick (very expensive to throw bacon and sauce on). I said ok but what if we wanted the lobster, what was going to change on the platter. We couldn't understand her explanation. So I'm not sure what is going on with that. The view of the open ocean was great. I just wish the food and the service were the same. For the amount we spent that night, I just hoped everything was on point. I'm sorry for this review and normally I wouldn't do it this way but when more than 3 things go wrong, I need to write a post.

Very disappointing. It started brilliantly with a table next to the windows watching the sun set over the ocean. It’s a spectacular view. However once we had finished with the bread entree, things turned downhill. We chose the 4 course feed me menu. Low quality seafood, and weird complicated, and confusing ingredient combinations. The scallops came with peas and what I think was a bernaise sauce. Then it also had cauliflower, with a bbq curry seasoning on it. Why is all of this together on one plate? So strange. Then next was whiting fillets (very small ones) swimming in coconut milk, with roasted beetroot, and some sort of beetroot puree. Finally finishing with lamb that came with peas (again peas?) some weird purple mash and broad beans. I can’t explain what went wrong with the roast potatoes, but they tasted floury and under done. The lamb on its own was actually cooked well and tasted nice. Those 3 dishes overall were just a confused mess of ingredients. This restaurant is just not of a very high quality, and for that price point there are some much better places around South Australia serving fresh, local and seasonal dishes.

I have now dined at the wharf on many occasions, always been met with great customer service, and attentive staff presented well and well-spoken, with great knowledge of their food and drinks on offer. The food is amazing, has great flavour, is great quality, and is always accommodating for my incredibly picky children. On one occasion I did have a small issue with one off our meals was due to my own miss communication i believe but everyone was all to happy to help rectify the issue and ensured we were completely satisfied with everything. I recommend the feed me option to try a range of their menu as it was hard to decide on a favourite meal as there were so many good options i have so many favourites but my top 2 are the grilled whiting meal the chicken Breast meal. All round fantastic resteraunt atmosphere service and food all worth while visiting and reasonably priced for location and quality.

I went there on Good Friday at around 5pm, and i have made a booking online a day ago specifically noting that we would like to sit near the big window by the sea because my mom and daughter would love to see the sunset during the dinner, thats also the main purpose that we chose this restaurant. When we arrived, there was a brown hair staff with a bunny ear headband to greet us at the front door, apparently she didn’t even check the booking or the note, she walked me to a table that located in front of the bathrooms. So I politely asked if we could sit near the window she said they’re all fully booked. I saw there were actually some tables that were without reserved signs and i asked if we could sit there. She told me she was just about to put a sign there because they customer just called and i was like I actually booked in with a request a day ago. However i didn’t take it further because she was already so rude, not helpful, no facial expression and looking hateful since we went in, i did not want to ruin my night. I bet shes a senior staff because she wore a different color of uniform from the other girls but she was really unprofessional, everytime when she put a drink or dish down she never smiled never say excuse me even my little daughter was moving she just sneaked in between and not even worried that she would have hurt her. Not to mention even if we said thank you she never replied back. I was like seriously?! It was totally not busy at all, the night just started and i have NO CLUE why she had to treat customers like we were her enemies. She is now the reason why i would never go back to this restaurant again and also i made this comment because i really need the management to know this bad experience happened and it should really be addressed. I was super disappointed because if i need to pay for this price for the food, I expect a better quality of service. *However i also need to say there was a younger staff with a blond long ponytail she was a game changer (she looks pretty and tall). Her service was amazing, very welcoming and made us feel valued and cared. She talked to my girl with big smile, has observed that we dropped a spoon so she gave us a new one without needing us asking, she definitely showed her passion for her job which we truly appreciate her service and i would say she’s a great asset for the company. Such a big difference compared with the senior one who didn’t even know what herself was doing but being arrogant and rude. On Good Friday, is...

One of the worst experiences I had in Adelaide. I sat down at my table and I ended up not eating my main dish. The waitress or the chef mixed up my order and I was served the wrong steak (rare instead of well done).

After I called the waitress to get my stake cooked a little more I waited almost 30 minutes before checking where my steak was and the manager told me they started cooking my steak from scratch so I could eat a proper steak (in the meantine all the people sitting at my table finished their dinner) and that I should wait just another 7 or 8 minutes before my steak would arrive.

To my surprise I could see a lot of steaks served to other tables so, after another 15 minutes (not the 7 8 minutes I was told) I went to talk to the manager again and I said that I didn't want to eat my steak anymore because it was way way too late and I couldn't understand why when I asked just to cook a little more my steak my order started from scratch and not just that but my order was placed at the end of the queue.

At that time the manager said that they don't just cook the steak more but they would cook the steak from scratch and he even said the fault was ours since in his opinion someone sitting at my table grabbed my steak (so after almost 2 hours he was trying to blame the customers), not knowing that the waitress gave me the wrong well done steak straight to me after we asked more than once which one was the well done steak.

So instead of a simple mistake (mixing out the steaks when serving the plate) they added 2 more on top (starting the order from scratch not jumping the line but at the end of the queue and finally blaming the mistake on us).

I ended up going home at 9pm without eating my steak and very...
