The place is pricey and the food is below average and serves are small. It took 15mins to take our order upon arrival and 15mins to receive our drinks. It took half hour for our meals, which was fair but waiting on drinks for 15mins is ridiculous. The waitress placed warm water in our glasses with no ice (on a 37 degree evening) and as she poured the water into our glasses, it splashed on the table and was left there. The table presentation inside the restaurant is very nice and classy. We were placed outside, on regular black tables with no table cloths or wine glasses etc like the nicely presented tables on the inside, even thou we had booked and there were tables free inside the restaurant, we were still placed outside. My husband ordered steak and it come with 3 small cherry tomatoes and a sauce on the plate... no salad or anything else. My Barra was 'muddy' tasting so food was definitely below average and not worth $48/$43 for our meals. Never again! CUSTOMER RESPONSE TO SEAFIRE OWNER JUSTIN REPLY: (SEE PHOTOS) 1. Not clothing outside alfresco dining tables 'due to wind' is poor considering the restaurant is open dining from the inside - out. Compared to the inside presentation it looked very 'tacky'. 2. It was actually my Son who made the booking and we appreciated you were able to accommodate us at late notice (which until now I wasn't aware of) BUT a simple explanation of the dining options over the phone prior to confirming the booking would have been furthermore appreciated. 3. When the waitress took our drink orders I specifically asked for ice. When she arrived with the filtered WARM water, it came with NO ICE, as requested, so I asked AGAIN. 4. After 15mins of waiting for someone to take our order, my Son politely approached the counter and asked if someone could serve us. I understand your response to the waiting time on the cocktail. From what I could see there was only 1 barstaff employee to cater to all the customers so I can understand that he was under the pump. BUT it shouldn't take 15mins to poor tap beer, add a dash of cc over some ice and receive a glass of warm filtered lemon water. ALSO, I did not swear nor act disrespectively towards your waitress ONCE and I find it extremely offensive that she has LIED to cover up her own incompetent behaviour. I have 3 witnesses to verify your statement is totally false and incorrect. 5. With regards to our Meals, my Sons thought it was easier to say 'good' (not great or compliments to the Chef) when asked, rather than to give their honest feedback. For myself and my Husband, we didnt respond at all and as much as we could have, at that stage of our experience we couldn't be bothered and thought to leave our feedback here, cos this is what reviews are for. 6. LASTLY, instead of responding fairly and professionally to my review, it seems as thou you have instead invalidated my feedback in every course and made more excuses and reasonings than anything. I can understand you have a business to run and a reputation to present but invalidating my opinion and allowing your incompetent staff to LIE and to say I am exaggerating my experience is very unprofessional. Justin, you were better off not responding to my review because your defence tactics (like the approach you've taken for all your less than '3 star reviews') if anything furthermore validates incompetency and unprofessionalism. If anything a GENUINE apology or request to rectify, renew or reconcile the experience to accomodate or allow a change in our review would have been a much better approach. NOTE: Employees are only as professional and competent as is the Employer. Justin you should try setting a better example and I hope you can take further learning points from this.

Really impressive service, I changed what I planned to order based on the advice of the knowledge server. Staff were able to ensure we had drinks when we needed them, no waiting around or trying to get people's attention which is great. The calm waters of the marina give this a really nice atmosphere compared to other high end steak places. The steaks were all really good, cooked as prescribed and accompanying sauces were full of flavour, I really wanted to savour every bite. The sides were nice and they were able to accommodate no garlic with the greens and pancetta. The potatoes were nice although sostas potatoes are still leagues ahead. The complementary ciabatta and tiny cannoli at the end were very cute and nice. Cocktails after were well made. Beautiful foam on the espresso martini which too often people over shake. If I come here again (100% I will) I would get two sides not 3, a bit too much for my liking. The menu doesn't describe the side dishes which made me ask the service staff who again, were knowledge and helpful however the chopped salad has radish which I really didn't care for however rather than a fault of the restaurant this is more likely person preference (a description could help avoid this issue occuring) While this place is expensive you're paying good money for high quality food and is worth the cost. Surely a memorable night and somewhere I'll go for special occasions.

With no luck getting a booking at a winery restaurant we started searching Adelaide City for a place that looked good, we stumbled on Seafire on the Marina (not quite rolling hills and vineyards) however it was on the Marina so water views sounded like the next best option. We both felt like steak so we hoped for the best. At first glance we saw multiple fridges filled with various hanging cuts of lovely looking beef which was promising. We kept it simple ordered the eye fillet with the red wine jus and the seasonal greens. Unfortunately getting service was very hard work, the gentleman on the floor seemed very inexperienced but when our meals arrived the eye fillet was cooked perfectly as was the red wine jus in fact we noted the best we had eaten in a very long time, the side of confit garlic and creamed corn was the perfect accompaniment but the bowl of seasonal greens can go back to the 80’s where they belong. They were so overcooked, presentation non existent and the dressing did not belong on the plate with the other components. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the views were delightful and we highly recommended the quality of the beef.

We have been to Seafire a number of times and had great service and food- unfortunately Very disappointed on this visit and due to the Manager, Thomas, attitude and threat we will definitely not dine here again. We had praised the restaurant to our guests from UK and it turned out to be extremely embarrassing. We believe the errors started with the waitress who took our food order - she neither wrote it down or used a tablet. Our starters came out and were great. We ordered a bottle of red for the table but a different waitress came with only a glass for one person so we had to ask for the bottle. Our mains were steaks - 3 medium rare - 2 with red wine jus, 1 with bearnaise and one rare steak with red wine jus. Steaks came - no rare steak- all medium rare. ( I even had a conversation with the waitress about having rare / blue steak ). Also the bearnaise was no where to be seen and So obviously my steak was sent back and the bearnaise ordered. Being reassured that my steak would be out shortly I told the others to eat theirs. They had almost finished and the vegetables were now cold so I told the waitress to forget mine as everyone was nearly finished but she insisted that it was coming out. My compensation for the mistake was a bowl of broccoli- I cut into the steak to find it was medium rare again!!! We asked for the manager who offered free desserts, however we declined as our evening had already been tainted. At no point during the conversation with him did we say we would not pay for the meal - he asked if the waitress had written the order down and we advised she had not so to us the mistake was from the order to the chef!!!! The bill came and at the till my husband pointed out that a bowl of broccoli was not compensation for a ruined evening and protested that my steak should be taken off the bill. The Manager threatened to call the police if we did not pay the bill and it was pointed out to him again that we had not refused to pay. However he did not remove the cost of the steak and we paid the total bill. We all left disappointed with the service and rudeness of the manager. So hence not...

I am one of those people who never complains about food at a restaurant. My family and I chose to eat at the Seafire restaurant tonight because they served really good steak. The four adults at the table all ordered steaks of various cuts done either medium or medium rare. I chose the wagyu rump and looked forward to a nice tender medium one. After a considerable wait the meals arrived together at the table. I proceeded to tuck in and was astounded it was very well done. According to the others they were all cooked beyond our requests. Half way through the meal the waitress asked me how it was and I showed her the condition of my steak. A little while after the dining room manager asked me if I wanted it swapped for another, I declined not wanting to wait another half an hour to eat alone and by then the vegetables side dishes would be cold. When I went to pay I asked for some consideration for the poor experience, He was indignant and said that because he had offered to cook a replacement, he was under no obligation to do anything and he was not going to. So I paid $64 for a steak that was like cardboard. I was not my intention not to pay for my steak but should have reasonably expected some consideration. This is one of the poorest examples of customer service I have experienced in a long while. I must say the wait staff were good. My bill for the night was $340 not insignificant. My family and I left very disappointed. We will not be back.

I note your reply but you are incorrect in saying that we were offered complimentary drinks and desert. That is false. We had coffee after the meal which i paid. If like you say we had been offered complimentary drinks and desert i would have accepted as a...
