I bought 2 vouchers from Groupon for €110. I had booked a table and arrived on time. We handed over the vouchers and seemed to get a look of disapproval. Not a good start. Anyway we sit down thinking someone might come and explain what we get with the deal. That didnt happen so we went to the counter to ask. We asked for wine which was included in our deal the only bottle they had was a sparkling white or a gossips shiraz. They were waiting for a delivery which is fine but if you know you have a booking be prepared. A staff member had to go and buy wine which was a yellow tail not the bortoli descibed in the deal. Not a big deal in the scheme of things but it just cemented the feeling of being those 'groupon customers'. Anyway we ordered two baby chinos for the kids which took about 30 minutes to arrive and came out with the first batch of pizza's. Half of us had finished our pizzas before the second lot arrived. We wernt asked if we enjoyed our meals or if there was anything else they could get for us. Thankfully we all have a sense of humour and had a laugh about it. Its a shame really as the pizzas weren't half bad but the experience was! If i could give them a few pointers it would be to welcome your customers, smile, dont make them feel like its a trouble having them there, be prepared and get everyones meal out at the same time. A positive is great coffee and cakes with a...
Read moreI visited Veloce today and ordered "Egyptian peppermint tea" as it appears on their menu. However, I got a cup of Queen Victoria tea, same tea you get from Coles or Woolies. When I asked the waiter if this was a mistake, he simply replied "that's what they got delivered and they will change the menu." Just a heads up, this is false advertisement and ridiculously overpriced.
Update: While I was still chatting with my friend, someone, presumably the owner, approached us and talked to me in a very confrontational and argumentative way. He accused me of intentionally writing the review above to damage his business. He argued that the waitress had already apologised and that I didn't have a right to write a review. When I tried to de-escalate things by saying "look mate..." he immediately cut me off and said "I'm not your mate and I don't want your business," and gave a full refund that I never requested. After this unpleasant incident in front of all the other customers, we left the money on the table and walked away. However, this person followed us outside and continued shouting he didn't want our money. After following us for a few seconds, he threw the money at us and told me to...

On a Sunday afternoon (2pm) we decided to have lunch with family @ Glenelg. Selected a place by the water (Veloce Glenelg). The menu was pretty limited however decided to give it a go.
Ordered a beer - sorry, run out of beers Ordered a lemon squash- sorry, only Fanta, or coca-cola Ordered a burger - sorry, run out of buns Ordered a Chorizo dish - sorry, run out of chorizos
Ok, I asked the guy on the counter, what do you have?
He replied: Great chilli Scrambled eggs - I said really for lunch? Then, he offered Bagel with salmon or burgers. The burgers were terrible and instead of the offered bagel, they replaced it with a greasy toasted bread. When I went to pay, I gave a genuine feedback and a young girl said sorry we had a busy week! The service and quality of food were terrible!.
Please, also note, that when I was about to order, we noticed that the table next to us returned their food and asked to tell the chef about it and did not wanted any replacement food.
Above everything, we’re disappointed with the casualness and luck of care...
