We have eaten here several times and also had regular take away. The food has always been very good. However after my experience last night we will never return.

I had phoned in our take away order at 5.30pm and was told it would be ready in 20 mins. When I arrived to collect it, they could not find the docket for our order or the food. Thy hunted around for 10 mins (without updating me and speaking in another language) and then one person came to me and said they could not find my docket and will cook it now and another person said they had the docket in the kitchen and were cooking it. Either way the order was finally ready at 6.20pm, 30 mins after they said it would be and they had the cheek to charge me full price!!

There was a very week apology but that was all, I said to them after they kept me waiting for 1/2 an hour the least they could do was give me a discount. I had 3 young kids with me (3,5,6) not that that should make a difference but at least some free fortune cookies would have indicated that they took responsibility for the mistake.

I understand mistakes happen but it is how you deal with it that tells the type of service you have and the image you want to portray.

If you want good service where you are made to feel important then go...

Madam Wu used to be great food tonight ordered after not being here for last few yrs the usual Pad Thai the MW Chow Mien & serving of vegetables The PadThai I found one small squashed piece of chicken nil pawns none the vegetables were limited to the tiny baby corn boK some leaves one piece bean sprouts The Pad Thai was greasy disgusting as was the Chow Mien the whole dinner was expensive $60 for poor variety of vegetables nothing but greasy noodles bean sprouts all cheap minimum absolute minimum of vegetables Total rip off unbeatable $60 eating a can of tuna would have looked good compared I don’t know what’s going on here only one thing I know is the staff absolutely were not going hungry standing at the counter all eating away whilst the customer that puts that roof over the owners and staff heads is getting paid for the worst food ever I’ve read comments about how great the food the service is here I must check the year as it is truly gone down to the pits since I last ate from here Shame on You who...

Just around the corner from my place, I ordered takeaway from Madame Wu's last night on the way home and it was all delicious. They had the COVID QR codes and staff checked that people who entered were complying. They had a couple of big tables of people (around 7.30pm) about 6 small tables. I even managed to get a park on the Parade - no mean feat! I ordered prawn cakes, prawn fried rice and honey chicken and waited inside for about 15 mins. The prawn cakes were fat, juicy and tasty with a complimentary dipping sauce. I semi-expected processed bland fish cakes like a chicken shop but I was wrong. The prawn fried rice was substantial with good size prawns and even my fussy daughter liked it. The honey chicken was lovely and the batter not thick like some other places. Ratio was more chicken than batter. Staff were attentive, friendly. All up $40.00. Unfortunately, my normal Asian food place made me sick, so I was on the look out for a new place and Madame...

A note for those planning to dine as a group: We were quite shocked at the minimal amount of noodles in the Chow Ho Fun, a dish that primarily consists of noodles as described in its name. It was significantly less than the same dish from all other restaurants we'd been to previously. Upon asking a staff member about this, we were bluntly informed that this was the consistent serving size for one person. Though we are doubtful, you may want to see for yourself (photo below) and judge whether it'll suit your dining needs. As this staff member suggests, you may want to order a separate dish for each person, apparently? Not to mention that immediately after replying harshly to us, the staff member returned to the front counter to laugh with her colleagues. Barely any customers were present at the time and the noise they made was beyond noticeable, showing some clear lack of respect for clients.

I tried the Combination Laksa Noodle. The quality was just very so-so, not impressive. Soup base of the laksa was acceptable. The portion of noodle was good for me. There were some chicken meat, deep fried tofu, fish cakes and shrimp etc. Sadly, the little shrimp was completely tasteless. It's definitely frozen food came from cheap source, which totally downgraded the laksa. The environment was quite ok, it's clean and was a lovely Asian restaurant. I didn't have any compliant about their services as I didn't expect they could offer too much as they were just an ordinary Asian restaurant. As I will be living nearby, so probably will come back again to give another trial.

Our first visit to Madame Wu was fantastic. Attentive, friendly and professional service from Ashley made our night celebrating our anniversary one to remember. We did the Sunday best menu and everything was great. I’d recommend adding in the fried rice as this was delicious and complemented the other dishes perfectly. Drinks were beautifully presented and came promptly and were included as part of the package. I ordered the hazelnut moose which came out with the most beautiful congratulations message, not only delicious but looked amazing. Thanks again to the whole team, we’ll be back when we next visit Brisbane
