Rundle Mall McDonald’s is fairly sketchy in that it is the face-front for the emerging youth culture of second decade 21st century. There is an atmosphere of frustration and anger driving the youth of Adelaide to consume boomer products. They cannot help themselves because MacDonalds is one of those cross social and cultural entities that holds power of young and old alike. This MaDonalds in Rundle Mall East faces the youth of 21st century ambiguity. These young people have been trained to hate and disregard anything that reeks of age. Yet, McDonald’s is as old as consumer time and they love the burgers and fries and deserts they offer. I watched as young so called rebels bought their consumer food whilst at the same time spreading a socialist perspective that they think has cultural merit. If only these young Big Mac eaters realised that the Big Mac is one of the outstanding victories of capitalism over socialism. You can’t argue with youthful ideological worship. When they have children they will then realise that their worship of anti-consumerism will make their lives challenging. Still I digress. The McDonald’s Rundle Mall East is like your typical inner city mosh pit for food. I enjoy the luxury of having a business open after my drinking binge. I am just so sick and tired of how these new century young bloods are pushing forward. They will only understand the beauty of a late night Big Mac once they lose the opportunity to have one. Listen life is better all over if capitalism can run free. Socialised fast food sucks. Yet, I have over my decades of participation to the youth of today. You don’t want McDonalds well then live with the consequences of poor choices. Great burgers and cheap rough for the working...
Read moreAlthough the service is quick..... they hardly ever deliver the right order. Its happened quite a few times. Once we picked dinner for kids at night .... and when we opened the pack at home we noticed they'd not included my elder son's burger! Luckily we had food leftover at home! Another time i got the wrong order inspite of literally spelling it out since the staff seemed lost and confused! And today they had an offer for 24 nuggets at 9 dollars. Again when we came home and checked it was jst 18 nuggets. One or 2 short wud be oversight. But how can u NOT realize you're short of 6 nuggets??!?!? And a couple of times they've conveniently forgotten to include the toys in the kiddie meal and then got offended when i checked and asked for it. Its convenient that no one counts or checks the food pack properly on the spot. Making a mistake once or twice is alright....but repeatedly.... thats when u need l to train your staff to check the food properly. Its only this branch that i hav problems with. Ppl order food when they usually don't have food at home. Especially if its dinner and we get a takeout, there'snot much time or option left for alternate...
Read moreMy partner and I went in for coffee and brekky. We ordered 1 small coffee on skim and 1 medium coffee on skim. When our order was called, we could see a bottle of full cream milk out and when asked are these coffees made on full cream the girl said yes. When told we ordered them on skim, the girl was apologetic and remade the coffee but got the sizes wrong and handed us a small when I ordered a medium . By now, another girl with black hair in a plaited ponytail had come over to help and she was nothing but rude. When we are the ones paying money for things, we have every right to ask questions if something isn't right. Drinking full cream milk isn't an option for me for health reasons. 3 attempts later and I finally got the...
