My first google review, because of my worse experience ever since my life! I went there as a UberEats delivery person while I was hungry, so I also ordered a McChicken for myself. It was around 23:00, 29/11/2022. When I was to pickup both, the female manager on duty at that moment, with an overwhelmingly rude attitude told me it is prohibited to have my own order and delivery order handed simultaneously, which I actually did several times before at the same restaurant. Then she ORDERED me to cancel my delivery order rather than my own food order and emphasized she wouldn't give me the UberEats delivery order that I had waited for over 10 mins. She also refused to show any related policy in written on my request and when I asked her name to make a complaint to McDonald's she hurled her refusal like "you don't need to know my name, tell them the time they will know who I am!" Ok this is why I'm writing this review and clearly point out when all this happened. That's not all yet. Because the rediculous policy comes from nowhere couldn't convince me, I surely refused to cancel my order and I contacted UberDriver customer service immediately. Need to mention, a driver cannot contact CS by phone call while they have live orders, so I could only reach them by in-app texting, which reduced communication efficiency. In the meantime, that anonym manager was able to make a phone call directly to UberEats staff and splashed out anything she wanted to tell them and cancelled my delivery order. Almost the same time when I noticed my order had disappeared, my CS told me that the email team would support me better and closed the case immediately without waiting even a sec for my response, and the email team never showed up later. She was wasting my time and I believe she was discriminating because after work that day, I went to other McDonald's just asking them if they have such a policy, none of their managers said a yes. They all showed high friendliness and inclusiveness to delivery person. It is worthy a specific praise on McDonald's Hindly St, its manager was willing to listen to me for a couple mins while there were thousands of customers and super busy. All in all, if you go to this restaurant and see a FEMALE MANAGER on duty, don't expect anything good. But if it is a tall male manager there, he...
Read moreAs much as I want to rate this place highly there have just been so many times I've left disappointed... in the past half a year alone I can probably count 30 or so times we've been given a meal with missing parts... I'm not too sure if any of them really know how to make coffee, either, at least compared to the others along Hindley/Rundle St... not nearly enough espresso compared to milk, and on the 10 occasions I've ordered an iced mocha they either put WAY TOO MUCH chocolate syrup (enough to make me gag multiple times) or not enough (may as well be an iced latte). Also, not sure if this is just a time-of-day thing, but when I normally drive through (around 3-6pm) basically every staff seems like they don't really care about what they're doing, messing up orders that are shouted at them through the window (how?) and giving off 14-year-old-like attitude at the counter. FIX THAT MICROPHONE! I can count on one hand the amount of times I've gone through and had my order heard properly. And it's not like I'm ordering a million things, just an iced latte and fries/nuggets! I will give them a few things though: the dine-in experience is quite good, nuggets and chips are regularly on point and hot drinks aren't too bad. Three stars for now, but this is less of a "I hate this place" and more of "if they change up a few things I'll love it", those being a better set of microphones at the drive thru, some more enthusiastic staff, a slightly better iced drink manual (please, I beg, regulate the quantity of chocolate syrup going into those drinks) and perhaps a more regularly working frappe...
Read moreVisited with my son today. I thought that going up to McDonald's on west terrace would give me somewhere to take my severely autistic teenager while his brother had an appointment in the city. I thought I would also save on city car parking. When I pulled in to the car park, I noticed that there was paid car parking. To me, it looked like the Eastern end of the carpark was paid parking. I proceeded to the car parks near the restaurant entrance that had large Ms on them. I thought this would be safe as they were customer car parks. I was so occupied watching my autistic son, who needs constant supervision, that I missed the sign about car parking, which said in small writing that a car parking ticket needs to be displayed. I never even thought about it as i was busy watching my son and I've never had to pay for parking or display a ticket at a McDonald's before! I was only in the store briefly. When I arrived back at my car there was a $77 fine for not displaying my ticket! What? In McDonald's customer parking. Pretty disgusting way to treat your customers! I certainly wouldn't be returning to this McDonald's and I will be informing and warning others...
