This shop is not recommended. Unlike other cafe I visited here in Adelaide, the waitress here are super inhospitality, no smiling, no greeting. The coffee here is below average, I would suggest you try the Dayjob just opposite the street. We ordered kimchi fried rice, it was greasy and tasteless⌠We ordered the extra bacon ($2) to be stir fried with the rice, but they forgot, and then we ask whereâs the bacon, they said the girl who taking orders forgot to put that in. Then they did a pan fried bacon for us, which is not what we want. But they didnât even ask whether we still want it or not, the waitress just bring it to our table and says sorry they forgot, and ask us to pay an extra $2 cos we were not charged earlier. Which doesnât happen in a restaurant, well they normally apologize and waive the $2 because it was their bad. Also the bacon is not the way I wanted. I know I shouldnât ask too much for a cafe like this, but their face showed me âsorry but not sorryâ. Even in other cafe like this, they would ask if people are happy with their food, again, no service in this one. The burger was disappointing too, again, oily and tasteless. Iâve viewed their website before coming here, they introduced their chef Chung Jae Lee, and many reviews say he sometimes be here cooking, but wasnât today. The chef today seems quite casual and didnât put so much efforts in her cooking, apparently. Before we leave, we were asked again to pay for the bacon, the waitress asked $4, while it clearly states $2 on the menu. Maybe they are the owner (2 sisters), but I would say they were not so earnest...
Read moreHi, I thought Google map is a platform for all authentic reviews, whether is positive or negative. By starting a business means you are open for all the comments and improve yourself everyday. Apparently you just donât accept any negative comments, I can see it from how you reply other customer (the one says chicken undercooked). Also, you donât have to take it personally and accuse me. It is ridiculous of you to use the word âintimatedâ, Iâm sure we didnât behave like that, we didnât even show any dissatisfaction during our visit. But your staff were just too stingy to show any smiles from beginning to the end. I can see it was also how you treated other customers today, no greetings, unlike other cafes around. Iâm a food explorer, Iâve been to hundreds of cafes around Australia. I just donât normally leave comments on Google map when itâs above average. But I would start this new account just to reply back, because of your attitude :) About the $2 bacon, Iâm just saying it is normally the way most restaurants treat customers. Have you hear about a word âcourtesyâ? Instead of spending time arguing with customers, youâd better put more efforts on how to improve yourself and the cafe. Maybe keep working on your cooking skills rather than use a famous chef for advertise and deceive people, and maybe hire a good barista:) You have a long way to go, girls....
Read moreBeautiful building with a great atmosphere, but unfortunately, thatâs where the positives end.
Had high hopes for this place, as itâs been on the list for a while, but the experience was disappointing.
For a $24 Bibimbap, the chicken was dry and tasted like it had been pre-cooked and reheated in a frypan. If weâre waiting 30 minutes for a simple order in a moderately busy cafĂŠ, the expectation is that itâs freshly cooked. Good flavours otherwise, but very sweet sauce.
The matcha latte was another letdownâit was sickeningly sweet, and we werenât warned when ordering it comes pre-sweetened. When we queried it, the staff member just said, âYeah, sorry, itâs pre-made in the powder.â Not exactly diabetic-friendly.
Service was also underwhelmingâpolite but practically nonexistent. I went inside to ask for table water that never arrived, and a staff member, finally got off her call, just told me to âhelp myself.â If you need to take a personal phone call, at least step away from the service area.
To make matters worse, the table we moved to was never wiped down, leaving us to sit among crumbs and spills from the previous diners.
To top it off, our food was served without cutlery, and when we asked, we were given a knife and forkâfor a rice bowl.
Overall, a...
