Quite good. No, actually, really good. The foods are nice, the people are nice, the experience is nice. I had some beef lasagna here, they are absolutely beefy, I’m absolutely stuffed when I walked out of the restaurant, and I’m quite a big man (I literally use a Minecraft avatar, I’m trustworthy). Unfortunately I haven’t got any photo of the chungus of a beef lasagna, but I got some photos of pizza and spaghetti. I managed to steal some Hawaii pizza from my friend. I am not the biggest fan of pineapple on pizza (I actually have a quite strong opinion on it), nor was I a fan of thin crust pizza in particular, but this magnificent piece of art absolutely stunned me, great. A side note, this restaurant have the best chips I have tasted so far on my holiday at Queensland. This have nothing to do with anything, but I just thought it’s kinda funny how an Italian restaurant can make some of the best chippy in the local area. The only real grudge I have is that the restaurant repeatedly ghosted me when I was trying to book a seat. Although I do understand that it’s a quite small establishment, and the staffs here are really nice when we met them in person. Plus, I was prob doing something wrong on my behalf. So like, no real complaints, just thought it’s fun to mention. Overall, 9 beef lasagnas out of 10 pineapple pizzas, heavily recommend, you are missing out if you haven’t tried these.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant in Airlie Beach, perfectly located beneath the Boathouse Apartments. The setting is ideal, with a beautiful outlook over the marina that creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent – the staff were not only friendly but also very accommodating. They happily adjusted the seafood marinara, removing the clams and mussels and replacing them with extra seafood, which made the dish even more enjoyable. It was generous, fresh, and full of flavour. The carbonara was rich and creamy with a delicious smoked bacon flavour, while the lasagne offered a hearty sauce and paired perfectly with the seasonal greens. Even the child’s spaghetti was tasty and well received. Dessert was a true highlight. The sticky date pudding was generous in size and absolutely outstanding – without a doubt the best sticky date pudding I have ever eaten. The tiramisu was equally delightful, light yet indulgent, and the perfect finish to the meal. Overall, this restaurant combines an unbeatable location, exceptional food, and warm, attentive service. A must-visit in Airlie Beach for a memorable dining experience.

The food was impeccable. We ordered the fettuccine marinara pasta, focaccia and truffle mushroom pizza. The pizza was so amazing that we ordered a prosciutto pizza right after having the truffle mushroom. The pizza tasted so amazing, the fluffy yet crisp base, and divine taste of the truffle mushroom was truly amazing. The prosciutto pizza was also fantastic and we highly recommend the pizzas. The pasta had a perfect consistency and amazing flavors, which we highly recommend. And finally last but not least the focaccia……. the focaccia was the best bread we’ve ever had, really fresh and homemade. It was so light and fluffy yet the outside was crisp and toasty. The meal was an absolute highlight of my holiday and we definitely recommend dining at la marina. We booked a table at 7:30 but arrived at 7, yet the staff still let us dine earlier than booked. The staff were very friendly and it was a great atmosphere inside. Truly amazing and one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to.

Worst experience ever! We booked a table of 8 on 24/04 at 8.30 pm for our anniversary celebration.

First thing we heard from the staff while we were about to sit was “we don’t have vegetarian food” What does that mean? So La marina staff can tell by looking at people faces that who is vegetarian or not ? Sorry mate we all were non vegetarian & that was not the right way to greet customers in your restaurant.

Secondly, My 2 year old was bit sick and we requested to move to the next table as it was a covered area and less windy. That insensible fellow told us with a very disturbed & foul look that it is very inconvenient for him to move us to the next table but we will do that just for the sake ( which was vacant & was not reserved further).

Then my mother in law just stood up just to check if that covered table is still windy or not ? That same fellow came to her & firmly told her “Please keep some patience and sit on your chair. It’s terrible. Let me clean the table first “

The behaviour was rude and unacceptable . You are in customer service industry and don’t know the basic manners? You speak to an elderly like that?

This all happened in 10 mins time frame & we got so upset that we decided to leave the restaurant straight away. We left without saying anything to anyone as we didn’t want to do any argue and spoil our night or Other people’s night as there many other & better restaurants nearby.

I have never left any negative reviews before but had to leave a review in this case so that they don’t treat future customers like the way they treated us .

No comments on food as we didn’t try but experienced the worst...

We absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant!

We went on a Saturday night with no booking and got greeted with a smile. Throughout our entire service the staff were all wonderful and knowledgeable.

We ordered the nonnas meatballs as an entree and boy did nonna do an amazing job! They were super soft and tasty and we could have eaten more! The only (minor) downside was that the meatball to sourdough bread ratio that they supplied was off (3 meatballs to 2 sourdough pieces) but other than that, these were the best meatballs I’ve personally ever had.

For our mains, we (2 people) ordered the meatlovers pizza and a carbonara to share. Both my partner and I agreed that they were the best we had ever had. The pizza was delicious and had the perfect amount of toppings and a thin and crispy base, the carbonara was 11/10, it wasn’t too overwhelming but also packed with flavour and seasoned to perfection.

We then shared with some friends and ordered the zeppoli. It was super hot and fresh, the only downside was that they’d run out of Nutella, which they offered us an alternative of chocolate sauce after they’d delivered it, but it would have been nice to know prior to ordering as it drastically changed the dish. It would have been a 10/10 with the Nutella, but unfortunately wasn’t 100% what we were expecting, however it was still great!

Our drinks throughout the night were also great!

We would 100% come back here again on our next trip to Airlie and have already raved about...
