We recently stayed at the Boathouse Apartments in Airlie Beach and had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable – within walking distance to the ferry terminal for Hamilton Island, the Catamaran departure to Whitehaven Beach, Daydream Island and any boat trips you desire, and only a short stroll to shops, cafes, and restaurants on the main street. Our three-bedroom apartment was modern, spacious, and offered stunning views over the marina. The property also features excellent facilities, including a beautiful pool and a tennis court, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Dining was a highlight with La Marina, a fantastic Italian restaurant conveniently located underneath the apartments, offering delicious meals in a great atmosphere. The Boathouse staff were lovely – friendly, helpful, and always accommodating with anything we needed. The room was ready early and they even allowed us to have an extra hour in the room on our departure. The customer service was exceptional, and we honestly couldn’t fault a thing about our stay. Boathouse Apartments is the perfect choice for anyone visiting Airlie Beach. Highly recommended.

We recently holidayed with our family at Airlie Beach and chose to stay at The Boathouse Apartments. What a great choice. The location was fantastic the staff were amazing. Were extremely helpful, friendly and nothing was a problem for them. The apartments were spacious a great kitchen and the bathrooms also a good size. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of room. The furniture was a little tired but was still good. The kitchen had everything you would need but a couple of plastic containers to store food would have been helpful. We loved the view and having breakfast each morning on the balcony was beautiful. The pool/spa area was good and having the tennis court was a bonus as our Grandsons love playing tennis another reason we chose to stay here. When next we visit the Whitsundays we will definitely stay at The Boathouse Apartments.

The apartment is fine with nice view. Also walking distance from Airlie beach However we had major problems with the WiFi. You get 1 hour free (Mx 250 Gb) We bought 3 vouchers for 12 AUD for 1 week (max 3Gb) This system didn't work flawless. Vouchers seemed to be expired. We talked to the external company and management. It was really frustrating and no one really fixed the problems. The system is not transparent They said we used 1,5Gb in 1,5 hour. Simply was not possible with the internet speed which was present. For international travellers, internet is like water and electricity, it should be present without limitation these days. In remote areas I can understand but not in such a place. We do recommend to go for dinner at Dennmans or Boathouse Fish bar. Both of excellent quality.

I stayed at the Boathouse Apartments with my husband and 15 month old son after my son was quite sick on Hamilton island and unable to fly home. As there was no accommodation on Hamilton island I called up a few different places and settled on the Boathouse Apartments.

I called ahead of time to see if we could check in early so my son could nap after the journey across. The reception staff were quite friendly and did try to get us in quickly however when we got to the room there was a rollaway bed instead of a cot. We left the room and came back to a cot being dumped in the apartment and not set up at all (not a big issue but also not what I’d expect paying the price for premium accommodation).

The following morning I received a text that they had to do maintenance in our apartment for roughly 2 hours (I was never advised of this even though I called twice, told them I had a sick child and booked over the phone). We had staff knock on the door twice throughout the day to see when they could do it. First when we had a screaming child we were trying to give antibiotics too and secondly when we were trying to get him down for a nap (again when he was very distressed). We ended up having to leave and sit in a room after an unsuccessful nap with a toddler who had a high fever, ear infection and a rash. I’d also been trying to book a Telehealth appointment to have my son assessed but this was made difficult due to the fact we had to leave the room.

One of the reasons I booked was due to the washer/dryer, we had no clothes left so I did a wash upon arrival. I ran the dryer multiple times that evening and kept finding sopping wet clothes at the end of every cycle which was really frustrating. On the following day we asked about the dryer and were advised that they don’t work very well and that the only apartments that had dryers were occupied. Because of this we were forced to wear the same clothes for 3 days straight. Not great for a messy/sick toddler.. We eventually were able to get our clothes dried and received them around 5pm the night before checking out. While I do appreciate the staff for doing so, it wasn’t very helpful at that point.

The whole experience was really awful. Travelling with a sick child is hard enough let alone having that added stress. I am pretty annoyed that no one advised us of the works needing to occur during our stay and the fact that a dryer is falsely advertised. I never would have booked if I had known either of these things ahead of time and I feel fairly ripped off for the money we paid given it wasn’t exactly...

Service was great, the young man at service counter very helpful. The apartment require some renovation and a clean. As we first walked into the apartment we were hit with a musty smell, which I believe it is the air conditioner. All the time we were there which was two nights we could smell the musty stench. Require a decent exhaust system for the main bathroom as leaves toilet smells nowhere to go. The shelving looking a bit worn in both bathrooms. The shower recess with plenty of water on the floor outside of the short screen, had to make sure nobody slipped over, using bath mat to soak up the water on floor. The main bedroom bed headrest looks appalling with fabric tears showing exposed foam. Outdoor chair had to swap due to the leg twine unravelling. Bird droppings on some of the chairs on front porch. Great views of the Harbour, lovely gardens. Very convenient. A tad pricy for what we got. Good size fridge in the kitchen. The dishwasher looks a bit tired from the outside door edging. The porch sliding door difficult to lock including the front entry louvered door cannot lock. With a breeze pushes open. The recycling bin looks a bit tired including the tea caddy. Some of the furnishing look cheap and...
