Zero stars! Honestly stay elsewhere. From the moment my husband and I arrived during our honeymoon the woman running the hotel was rude. She was too focused on gardening rather than assisting us from keeping our bags rolling down the giant hill as we paid for the taxi. She continually complain about how she was overwhelmed with work. When she showed us to the room she kept turning the corners so fast as if we knew where we were going in the maze corridors. Once we opened the door to our room we were met with a horrid smell. The room was not cleaned. There were finger print smudges on the counter, a weird white flake substance on the couches and mold in the shower. What we got Vs the pictures online are completely different. The room was so bad I broke down and almost left our honeymoon early. After reading more reviews we saw people contracted lice here so we had to wash the sheets since clearly nothing was cleaned. In doing so, we found the most disgusting stains on the pillows. We only reserved a one bedroom but thankfully there was another bedroom to swap out the gross pillows. When I told the woman this she barked back at me “well you only had the one bedroom and that pillow was in the second”. Yes woman, because I put it there since it was disgusting. We were told they would do a deep clean of the room, however all they did was make it smell like bleach. Smudges on the cabinets and counters still remained. Do yourself a favor and stay...
Read moreI'm not sure where all the fantastic reviews came from as we found the property disappointing.
The location of the property was very good. Close to the Harbor and the Esplanade. The Apartment was large, with nice AC and a large balcony with great views of the town and harbor. The Management and Staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked that the property had assigned parking (semi-private garage) but getting the car in and out was very difficult as the space was tight and on a steep hill.
The apartment was in need of repair and updating. Lamp shades were broken, the drapes were covered in dust, window screen had holes and there was a serious ant problem. The shower in the Bedroom had some mold and flooded the entire bathroom when used. The furniture was old, dirty and stained. The washing machine had a slow leak so the basket filled with stagnant water. This gave the place a musty smell at first until we found the problem. Overall a deep cleaning was needed through out. Also, the windows had weak, broken locks and the front door did not have a deadbolt (but funny enough, there was a sticker on the sliding glass door stating to always lock the windows and doors as Airlie Beach has a lot of Visitors), the TV had a weak signal. Internet usage is limited to 500 MB /...
Read moreWe stayed for 6 nights at Toscana Village Resort, as we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to a Villa which was really amazing. The views from the Villa no 3 were fantastic!! much better than I had anticipated. ||The main bedroom and kitchen, lounge had brilliant views overlooking Airlie Beach. The Villa was perfectly clean, had heaps of space for the 5 of us and aircon galore (which we needed) ||The unit had all the kitchen stuff we needed and more we did need to call reception once during our stay for anything which is a really good sign.||The location is excellent - yes there is a small hill to navigate on the way back but it is no more than 200 meters and all worthwhile accommodation is on a hill so you can have views.||Management were great, friendly and really accommodating allowing us to store our luggage in the garage until our pick up later in the day. ||The resort has a unique pool structure whereby is has three levels of pools top pool kind of adult second level nice and deep and bottom level more kid friendly, but the pools were very clean, quiet and well maintained - we loved the pools!!! ||Did not eat at the onsite resturant but did have a drink there to enjoy the brilliant sunset and views .||I would most definitely stay...
