My family has always loved Addictea, and my sister would regularly bring their drinks to our family gatherings. The drinks are genuinely nice, which is why we’ve been loyal customers for so long. However, she recently stopped buying them because she noticed that when you request no ice, the amount of milk tea is significantly reduced. I initially thought it might be a misunderstanding, as I’ve ordered no-ice drinks in the past without any issue.
To see for myself, I bought a few drinks (all with no ice) for a family visit, including one for myself without toppings. To my surprise, my drink was served in a noticeably smaller cup compared to the others, even though it was the same drink. When I asked about it, the staff explained it was because I requested no ice.
I also asked if there had been a recent change in ownership, but they said no. While I still enjoy the drinks, this change is disappointing and feels unfair to loyal customers who prefer no ice.
At the end of the day, it’s just a matter of a few millilitres of liquid, but it’s enough to upset so many customers. Is this really worth it for the business? The loss of goodwill and loyal customers far outweighs the minimal savings. I hope the team reconsiders this policy to maintain the high standards and customer satisfaction we’ve come to expect.
I’ve uploaded photos showing the cup size difference for the drinks, both with no ice—the taller one includes toppings, while the shorter...

If I knew they ran out I would’ve gone across the road to machi & I told the (assumed) owner but he simply apologised & didn’t offer any resolution. I repeated myself twice when ordering but the display was off at the time - so they got my pearls & sugar level wrong. (Asked for 75% instead of 25%)
Unrelated to the pearls the tea has been so watery the last few times I’ve come here.
Their tea & service isn’t half as good as the Sunnybank hills store so would really recommend driving an extra 5 min to get your moneys worth.

Read moreWe ordered coffee black tea and peach&berry slush with cheese. The coffee black tea tasted just like water, there’s no coffee in it. This is unacceptable as we had this at the other store and they were great.
Their taro ball were really delicious before and now it taste like mochi that has been store in the chiller for more than one day.
Can’t believe we spend $20 for these two drinks with this kind of quality. The quality control really needs to be...
