We went to bar Pacino in late June for my daughter’s birthday dinner. When booking I had noted it was her 18th birthday. When we arrived although the maître d was very friendly she did not acknowledge my daughter’s birthday. She took us to the table and left us there. We had no advice on how to order, get drinks etc, no offer of water for the table and no offer to take the cake that we had bought with us to the kitchen for later. We had to find someone else and give it to them. We sat outside and there was a gas heater next to us which was good as it was the middle of winter. After about 30 minutes the heater stopped working so we asked a waiter to turn it back on. He checked it and left. Thinking he would come back with a new gas bottle we waited… after about 30 minutes we had to ask another waiter to turn it back on as we were getting quite cold. He immediately took the old gas bottle and replaced it with a new one and turned it back on. The food was quite nice and fairly quick to arrive after we ordered it by the QR code on the table and 2 of us got free Nutella shots for posting a picture on instagram which were yummy. After the main meal we ordered the cake to be brought out. My daughter had not seen it before and I expected the staff to bring the complete cake out and allow the table to wish my daughter happy birthday as is usual when a cake is brought out at a party. However they cut the required number of pieces off the cake and just served those directly to the table. This is very poor service and very disappointing that my daughter never got to see the full cake, and our opportunity to wish her a happy birthday at the traditional time was not possible. It was also disappointing that the restaurant made no effort to recognise my daughters birthday. I have been to other restaurants in the immediate vicinity of this one where they give you a free desert and all the staff stand around and sing you happy birthday. Why does the booking form specifically ask if this is a special occasion if you aren’t going to do anything with that information? The restaurant was busy and there was a party next to us with the deck being blocked off for it. This made it quite noisy and hard to have conversations at the table. There is only one cubicle in the toilet downstairs which is used by the restaurant and other businesses in the building which is not enough for this...
Read moreMy partner and I reached out to Bar Pacino to book our moving away/29th birthday/engagement party. We spoke with Annie who kindly assisted us in organising the event. She was very prompt with all of her emails and helping us to create a beautiful evening for our guests! We had a space on the balcony for 30 people. It was great to be right in front of the DJ and we were able to get some beautiful photos! The venue is just stunning, the food platters were massive and absolutely delicious. Having the QR code to order drinks is extremely convenient. Holly was our host, she was soooo so friendly in welcoming us and looking after us. She brought out our cake with a sparkler and took a great group shot of everyone - much appreciated! We also had Ayesha, John and Chris looking after us. They all did an amazing job. We had so many compliments on how the staff were so accomodating and friendly. Management should be very proud, we had a night that we will always remember :) 100% would recommend and we are very appreciate of the amazing service! Thank you...
Read moreI came here this evening for a lovely birthday dinner, just to be struck by extreme rudeness by one of your employee’s. I am referring to the white chick with the blonde hair in a pony plait. I have attached a photo as I do not know her name. She was unfriendly, rude and continuously gave us rude looks the entire time. She made us pass our food down the table when she could easily just walk it down. She said “yea just pass that one down.” So extremely rude. She did not smile once, glared at us every time she walked past our table and had no manners nor politeness. Then when I went to the bathroom there she was just leaning against the counter on her phone, then glared at us and walked out. Overall I was so unimpressed with the service and extremely disappointed by the lack of friendliness. Would never recommend this to anyone, such a shame as the food was so yummy. It’s really not that hard to be kind, I work in fast food and I fake it, so fake it till u make it babe. I’m hoping in the future she can learn how to smile and pull that...
