I held my best friend’s hens dinner here following a clay and sip session at the same location. Not only did I call and email the restaurant weeks prior to the event, I also called on the day to confirm we had a reservation. As we were reaching the end of our clay and sip session and I couldn’t see a table set up for our dinner, I approached a waiter and he told me there was no reservation for my group. A more senior staff member then told me he would “sort it out” but took at least 20 minutes to get a table together while we awkwardly stood around. We then had to wait for table service after being able to use an ordering app during the clay and sip. I was so disappointed felt so bad for the bride-to-be on her special day. I emailed the owner to complain and was met with a poorly formulated response that stated they had checked the security camera footage and could confirm everything I had said. I ordered the “Reef and Beef” and payed $75 for it, to add it was also my first time dining here
I was given a super thin and horribly fatty piece of meat which was nearly half inedible. the Moreton bay bug looked old and clearly not fresh, the meat was sadly tough and over cooked. the single bug was also on the smaller side.
On a positive note the prawns were cooked adequately and the garlic butter was delicious, However the green pepper sauce was clumpy and cold with a white appearance.
Your FOH staff member was attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was quite inviting.
Unfortunately you cannot judge a book by its cover, and I can’t help but imagine that Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with the chef for producing this $75 mistake. I’m left feeling hungry and disappointed with my decision to eat...

The lemony sauce it came with was delicious. As you can see in the photo, the food arrived in a cutting board...which was a bit cheap and off putting. It was a literal cutting board. Staff were a little weird, waitress took my main order and hurried off, I would have ordered an entree if she gave me a chance. She then asked me how my food was literally about 1-2 minutes after she brought the food, which was a bit odd since I didn’t have a chance to really try it.
