Max & Mason Fortitude Valley — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Have defo found a fave place to go after daycare pick up for our lazy evenings! Amazing tasty food, top quality, wonderful happy and helpful service and the most incredible pearl iced tea! Super refreshing, I need to try them all, there was an extensive menu of drinks alone.

It’s great that one place can cater to all our tastes - from thai green curry to Japanese. We had some amaaazing fish cakes with a green curry sauce, perfect crispy fried chicken and rice with Japanese sauce (our fussy toddler couldn’t get enough, say no more!) and a melt in the mouth spicy beef noodle soup.

From such small premises with such big flavour, can’t recommend enough. Just leave some for me!

ETA: it’s now a year later and I just wanted to reiterate how amazing M&M is. Our children get spoiled and fussed by beautiful Sunny who is in there most days when we eat, they adore her! We easily eat there once a week, and sometimes twice! And when we’ve been away on hols, it is the one place we can’t wait to get back to for some quick tasty food. I’m still just as obsessed with the bubble tea and fried chicken Japanese curry, but have tried a few other items and these are just as good! I journeyed here yesterday and had lunch with a friend. With a name like Max & Mason it does scream up market, but the storefront is very much "takeaway". The lady taking the order at the counter was juggling about 5 things at once, and had to step away mid order to hand out deliveries. It was something I noticed, maybe not problematic by itself but adding up with everything else left the experience a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, the food was great and reasonably priced, but the decor and atmosphere was very jarring. We sat in the corridor which was right out the front of Chemist Warehouse, which is one of the most unsightly views you could have while eating. Inside was a loud, massive TV and outside near the carpark, you would be sizzled in the sun as theres no protection! There really was no good option to eat in. The upside (aside from pricing) was that the food came out quickly. The others I was with reported positives about their food but the chicken in my chicken burger was overdone. Since 2017, I've been a loyal patron of Max and Mason, consistently enjoying their exceptional food and service. The customer care is outstanding, with the cashier impressively recalling my usual order on each visit, a testament to their professionalism and personal touch.
