UPDATE I called the store directly as suggested by Domino’s response I spoke to the manager, Lachlan. I asked what he will do to prevent this in the future because clearly something is wrong for it to have happened 4 times in a row, after only a handful of times in 10 years. He apologised and gave me the usual no guarantee spiel blah. That’s it. I asked if all employees are trained in food allergy practices in which he replied that only managers are. Seriously Dominos? Not good enough, and illegal. I have attached a screenshot of the Australian government food standards website fyi 😞
We have been patrons of this store for years. But now we have had enough of the straight out carelessness and disregard for specific dietary needs. We always call to order a pick up as my daughter has severe food allergies so we like to talk to the people who are actually preparing our food. Please no haters on why we would order pizza when my daughter has allergies. It’s for her mental health that she can eat this takeaway to feel ‘normal’ We are well aware that Dominos cannot guarantee 100% safety but lately it seems they simply don’t care. I am always very courteous when I request no cheese for allergy reasons and can they please put on the order to use a clean blade to cut it. In 12 years of ordering at various different Dominos with this exact request, it’s only happened a handful of times that there has been fragments of cheese or other ingredients that should not be there. Thankfully my daughter and I are pedantic about checking the pizza before she eats it, and she had never had an anaphylactic reaction. I stress this is only because she checks it so thoroughly and won’t eat the bits that have had cheese fragments on it. However we ordered last night reluctantly because the last 3 times we ordered (once a week treat) we have had so much cheese on it she has not felt confident to eat the pizza. I told the young man on the phone this simply to stress the importance of it for her health. He apologised and promised that he would make sure that this didn’t happen again. Unfortunately, we didn’t think it possible but there was even more cheese on her pizza and she couldn’t eat it. I hate to complain because obviously he took no notice of my polite request and we were not in the mood to try again. It wasn’t even at a busy time. It’s extremely poor and sad for my daughter as she has lost confidence in the one takeaway that makes her happy. Please train your staff on the national standards of the importance of food allergies practices. 10/5/24 UPDATE I received a call on 3/5/24 from the actual store Manager Peter who advised me that Lachlan was a duty Manager. Peter was very apologetic and professional on the call. he advised me that all his staff are trained in Allergy standards. However this was clearly not totally true. He figured out that cross contamination must have occurred as the cheese is directly next to the peperoni, and some must have fallen into the tub and ended up on my daughters pizzas...4 weeks in a row. I'm happy he spent so much time trying to figure this out so he can adjust the worplace practices of his store. My daughter had refused to return to this store until Peter made this call and said that he will be perhaps move the cheese away and or train staff in the importance of cross contamination. Hopefully DOMINOS Top Management has taken notice of this issue with all their stores to prevent any potential harm or worse, death to the patrons. Peter offered us some free pizza delivered that he made himself. They were amazing, and 3 times as heavy as the usual order of pizza we get. if only the pizzas were like this every time....
Read more2nd Attempt to see if they improve or not. Honestly it gone worse 😕 now the toppings are missing from the pizza. Photo is attached for reference. They charge $1 for a small slice of Pineapple for large pizza what a shameful 😑 work.
The worst thing till now I eaten on the name of Pizza. On the name of pizza soup I believe more than 3 scoups of tomato sauce as first thick layer. Which made the crust of the base as soogi as dipped in water. As you can see the order deatils crust was upgraded as at least the end of each slice was ok to eat that's by I added 2 starts otherwise the minimum 1 star. I added extra oregano which I couldn't find and apart from that the basic toppings are not even upto the standard. The Spicy Veg Supremeis a joke, is the name but after today I suggest to change to Tangy Tomato Supreme. I was noticing the standard was dropping, but not this exponentially as I'm a regular takeaway for every Friday. This new disgusting flavour is hard to shake off. I'm pretty sure after this horrible experience that my taste buds had I ever visit the same Domino's again. Hopefully other people don't have to get the same worse tast after reading it and someone from the higher ups take it seriously as it's customer's hard earned money specially these days. So try to approach the business standards and...
