Fairfield Bakehouse & Patisserie — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I ordered steak and cheese and complained years ago, and I thought I'll buy it again today 20/06/25 hoping they would of made some adjustments. I will say the price of pie is very good, the pastry very good, chunky steak and gravy 10/10 but it's lacking the cheese part.. When you think of steak and cheese, the cheese needs to show up with the pie.. to me, it's a great steak pie, but no where near a steak and cheese pie. I suggest visit Muzza's pie place, there steak and cheese is 10/10 if Fairfield bakery can learn what a chunky steak and cheese pie is.. I will order from them again, but for now.. Usually staff are lovely to me, but today I received an order, was told to wait until the EfTPos machine was turned on, then told to give the sandwiches back until the machine was ready. Said lady should have told me ten minutes earlier in a nice way that I could get cash or come back later, which I would have been more forgiving of. Disappointing. A reg coffee + pie cot $11, sweet. Understand that small businesses have increased their prices due to the cost of living increasing and the pandemic, BUT when you increase the price you would expect the same quantity right ? Not these guys, they'll give you a small coffee in a medium cup and charged $5. A frozen pie from Coles taste better than the stale $6 pie I paid for here.
