1st time we came here they didn’t even have the dish we ordered on our phone. When we had to choose an alternative they tried to charge us $1 plus another card surcharge fee. Why are WE paying extra when YOUR business is sold out of a product? I ordered a VEGAN dish & then they served it with eggs…. We thought we would give them one more chance but it was even worse the 2nd time around. Not only were they “sold out” of our favourite menu item, they were also never getting it back. Telling customers it’s sold out would indicate it’s coming back. Menu and staff need to advise customers it’s no longer available. I was literally mid sentence with the server when she just walked off. No smile. No eye contact. No friendly conversation. Worst customer service I’ve had in a long time. After we ordered the waitress came over with 2 completely different dishes both with meat in them. Not sure if it’s because of the language barrier but there was zero communication. She just stared at us blankly and then took the dishes away. When she came back she didn’t apologise for the mix up. I used the QR code to order a vegetarian option wonton mi goreng & when it arrived it was prawn. When I asked the waitress she tried to tell me that there was no veg option for that menu item. So I had to go back to my table and get my phone to prove it to her by showing her the vegetarian button. Then I was advised by another staff member that the veg option for this dish was unavailable. At this point I was honestly ready to leave. All pasta sold out on the phone menu. Several items crossed out in pen on the paper menus. Looks so unprofessional. They tried to give us free watered down ice tea for all the mix ups however we will never be...
Read moreA fusion based restaurant that does mostly Asian food (but also chucks in a lil bit of Italian), such as rice and noodle dishes. We got the skewers, spicy beef noodles, and the chicken karaage rice bowl I would say that the skewers seemed a little bit too overdone so they were a bit dry and crusty, but still ok. The noodles (we got medium) were absolutely huge, but decently made and a good texture (you can choose the type of noodle you prefer). The chicken karaage rice bowl was delicious!! I’d say there was a bit too much of the batter on the chicken and a bit too much rice but other than that, the combination of the eggs, chicken, sauce and other toppings was great. The chicken was also cooked well- tender and soft! The side with the tofu and quail eggs were also a nice surprise, with the sauce of the tofu being quite nice too. The presentation was great and I’d highly recommend.
Seating options are relatively plentiful but you may have to sit outside of the restaurant, which takes away a bit from the atmosphere and vibe, but for a filling and not too pricey meal, it’s pretty decent!
Edit: came here again recently as it was one of the only places open past 9pm (I think they close towards midnight). Heads up: do NOT try the fish. Lol it was frozen fish and rlly not fresh. There were also bones… the pasta, on the other hand, is interesting - really saucy and tasty, but a tiny serving, compared to their...
Read moreWoka 360 on Level 1 in Market Square is in a nice location within the new-ish building at Market Square in Sunnybank. There are two seating options, inside the restaurant area or you can sit out the front of the restaurant to view the road traffic traversing below.
Upon entry you are met with a counter and numerous cartons of stock on the floor. On the day and time of my visit it was pretty empty so tables and seats were plentiful however some of the tables were still covered in plates and dishes from previous dine-in customers.
There was no table service, and ordering was done via QR code on table. You can ask for a copy of the receipt from staff present as no receipt is emailed to you so be aware if you require one. There is a card surcharge of 1.957% (no other option as it was online order only).
There is self-serve water with cups on site. Tissue box was available on the table however the box at my table and the one on the next were both empty.
21 minutes after ordering for the first dish of fried squid chips to arrive to the table. 25 minutes after ordering one main dish arrived.
The size of the entree's - squid chips ($10.90) and kaarage chicken ($9.90) - were super small, however the serving size of the main dishes (tray meals) was what you would expect for $18.90 each.
The entrees were super lacklustre (don't recommend) but the main meals were okay. Noting here that the dishes...
