This is the second time that I've deleted a review to post another one for yet another stuff up by this GYG, in hopes that their Head Office sees this and does something about it.
I ordered through the app and collected my food on the way home from work. I got settled in at home, took a bite out of the burrito and realised it was someone else's with chicken. I'm vegan and didn't order chicken!!! This is so upsetting because it means that chicken was wasted unnecessarily, and I haven't eaten meat in four years so feel physically sick if I do eat it. Then when I called the store nobody answered, so I had to lock up my apartment and walk back down to get it replaced. To the staff's credit they remade my burrito quickly and made it a regular size instead of mini for the inconvenience. This is becoming a joke. Worst GYG in Australia. I called and left a message to make a formal complaint but want everyone to know how absolutely useless this store is. It's clear that management and/or ownership don't give a toss about the bare minimum. As of a week later I have not heard anything from the store.

Read moreI have been to a few GyG’s and experienced beautiful and exceptional service and food. But this GyG is just so subpar and disappointing each time and I am kind of tired of it. Like, I am not sure if they even care to read these reviews and improve. Some of the most laziest workers I have ever witnessed and I say this as someone who has worked in hospitality and visited many other stores. They spend more energy and time gossiping than they do preparing the food and providing customer service with many leaving in friendship groups for breaks and leaving only two staff on during busy periods because the most important thing is the new piece of gossip. Like they will not even cater to any dietary requirements and food requests an hour-and-a-half before closing because they can’t be bothered cooking new preps, rather just serving food prepared hours earlier, shrivelled and dried by the heat as a skin forms over it. It’s not the problem of being understaffed, it’s an issue of being over staffed with incompetent workers and negligent leadership. Read moreI deleted my one-star review from a year ago so I could post another review. I ordered my food through the GYG app at 7.23pm tonight according to the receipt that was attached. My order wasn't ready til more than 20 minutes later. It was for hot chips, corn chips with pico de gallo and churros. People who ordered well after me received their orders first. I would've expected my hot chips to be hot and fresh but they feel like they've been sitting there for a while, therefore I'm perplexed as to why my order took so long to be prepared. And to top it all off, I ordered a large pico de gallo and received a small. Luckily I checked the bag before leaving so was able to get the correct size that was on the receipt. If the GYG in Emporium weren't in the opposite direction from my house I'd definitely go there instead. It's no wonder why this GYG has such a low Google rating.
