BackDock Arts — Attraction in Brisbane City

I’ve had the absolute joy of being a performer hiring the space at Backdock for 2.5 weeks touring in The Barden Party’s Macbeth. What I can say from a hirer and an internationally touring performer is that no where in the world that I have been has shown the level of hospitality and effort towards us as a visiting troupe like Justin and Aimee at Backdock. They went above and beyond for us, were kind, fun, efficient, excellent at communicating and were amazing with our audiences as well. We will jump at the chance to bring our shows back to Brisbane and to Backdock particularly. What other place in town can you perform outdoors in an incredibly fun, vibrant, beautiful space OR choose to go into an indoor air conditioned space with LED lighting if weather demands. It has everything. We will sing the praises of this stop on tour to other performance groups for years. Definitely...

Great little rustic black box theatre space. Audience seats are salvaged from an old long distance bus. It's all on the ground level, including toilets, with a ramp to get in but wheelchair access is only partial. You could watch a show with a wheelchair in front of the audience seating, and the toilet may require...

I had the best theatrical experience of my whole almost 60 years on this earth. I was made feel welcone and asked who told me about the show & the venue. The Barden Party performers were delightful and I cant wait to go back. I loved that the bar was in the theatre. So no performance needs to be interupted. I highly reccomend...
