I used to like IB coffee, but unfortunately the last few have been nigh undrinkable. Their specialty blend tastes burnt, dirty and akin to a coffee smashed out of a hotel press-button coffee dispenser. I threw it out and had to buy a coffee elsewhere. I bought some of these beans to take home (before I had tasted the coffee đ€Šđ»ââïž) and at $22 per bag I wasted $22. They donât grind well for an espresso and they are not pleasant to drink. Iâve thrown out every cup Iâve made, and wasted heaps just trying to get the grind right.
They have an app through which you can redeem a discount ⊠BUT, it required you to enter your credit card details direct into the app. No indication of if it is secure or not. When PayPal, Apple Pay, Google pay, etc ⊠are so easy to implement, it raises eyebrows that they want to keep your credit card on file. Seriously, with the data breaches and scams these days, itâs a RED FLAG if a coffee shop wants your payment details.
I will say their coffee machines and milk dispensers are the coolest I have seen. Like something out of a sci-fi movie. I really hope their coffee gets better, because it has lots of potential if their core product is up...

For a specialty coffee place, we expected more, but unfortunately they failed to deliver both times, especially for the price they charged. It is not to say, however, that you won't like their coffee. It is just not for us. I did not appreciate the overpowering sourness in my coffee, which ended up giving me a heartburn afterwards. The service though was alright. The staff were nice and friendly. I also liked that fact you can order coffees on their app, which is really convenient, especially when you are in a hurry and need a coffee on your...
Read moreIndustry Beans Adelaide St isn't your typical coffee shop. It had to do a double take. They are situated in Adelaide Street in the Brisbane City. I read there is another venue in Newstead. They use state of the art coffee equipment. I haven't seen it anywhere else. I liked how they had a long table & chairs you could sit on while waiting for your coffee without getting in everyone's way. I ordered a cappacino with oat milk. They use real chocolate in their coffee. It's hard to come across a place that does this. I also got the Peanut Butter brownie to take away. It was dry but otherwise...
