Jackpot deserves a big 0 stars if that was possible. I gave this place three chances to get one meal correct. I asked for the Garlic Butter Chicken every time and received deep fried very salty and dry chicken. The first time I let it go as a mistake by them. The second time I ordered via the self-ordering menu instore in case the first time was because of a language barrier, and they gave me the same disgusting chicken. The third time I took a photo of the item from the menu on the window outside and showed them when I was ordering. This time I asked for a refund as it wasn't what I had ordered and showed them again. The girl didn't seem to want to refund me and fused with the register and pay machine. Then the cook, older Asian man came out and started speaking at me in his language. I was asked for my account details by the girl so they could refund me to which I refused. I insisted on a refund but while not giving me one the cook continued to talk at me in his own language in a raised voice. He was trying to insist on me waiting for different meal of my choice be cooked. I just wanted my money back as I had already waisted my lunch time waiting for the disgusting dry chicken to be cooked and was feeling quite upset by the cooks aggressive manner. I ended up grabby the food and walking out. I wouldn't recommend this place to...

Ordered the Garlic Butter Chicken, It was disgusting, Dry, tough salty and real garlicky, nothing but chicken looked deep fried, and Prawn chips that were soggy. No veg or sauce. I took it back right away because I couldn't eat it, waited patiently to tell them, the cook couldn't speak English so there was a lot of chat back and fourth with the poor guy that was serving, he was really nice, he actually asked if I wanted them to cook it again I said noooo thanks, why would I, I had to go and he offered a refund but I am guessing the cook must have been the owner and there was chat back and forth that I could't understand which was really rude, then the poor guy that served me said sorry no refund so I walked out with no food or refund. I normally buy at Say Sushi next door they are really nice and the food is really good quality but I thought I would try something different Never ever again. If they had of refunded my Money I wouldn't be writing this bad review. Stick with who you know. wasted $14...

Recently hubby and I dined at the Asian food restaurant Jackpot Express at the Buranda shopping centre on Ipswich Road, Brisbane.

The prices are reasonable even with the gluten free purchase, and the staff are friendly and helpful too. I am a Coeliac so I needed a yummy gf lunch. Upon walking past this restaurant I discovered some gf options on the menu. So we ordered the butter garlic chicken, the chicken vegetable fried rice and chicken fillet with cashew nuts and vegetables. The butter chicken is super delicious but the chicken fillet was a little dry. After we mixed the rice into the butter chicken and the chicken fillet it was more moist. Otherwise hubby and I enjoyed our lunch.

We sat at the outdoor tables but there are some in the shop itself. Definitely surprised me thinking I would not find anywhere to eat that day.

Recommend this...

A waste of food, time and money. Deserves well below the lowest rating. Stopped here for lunch and was so appalled by what was served. Ordered BBQ pork noodle soup, vegetarian spring rolls and the Sunday special Rice Noodle with Chicken. All 3 dishes were tasteless! The Sunday special was absolutely disgusting! Not only did it not have any flavour it was swimming in oil... literally!!! I took it back to the counter and asked what dish it was - only to be told it was the day's special. I asked what sauce was used and they couldn't even tell me that. I'm not into wasting food, but this was NOT edible unless you're looking to have a heart attack!! A warning to all - overpriced, tasteless food and a complete health hazard. Don't waste your money, you'll go in hungry and come out hangry!!!
