Got here at 10am because google maps said it was open at 9am. Wasn't open, door said 10.30am so we thought no worries, we can wait. Then comes 10.30, person inside going out the front and back. Then at 10.45 another staff member shows up, looking confused as to why the store isn't opened. Calls someone (maybe owner?) and doesn't manage to get inside until 10.55am. Then, no communication to the people waiting around at all, just keep going about things in side, on the phone, looking at us but not communicating or acknowledging. We decide, okay, maybe they open at 11am, then 11.05 comes and still nothing. Again by this stage we are feeling so hungry and decide we have waited this long already so we persist. 11.10 and still nothing, we decide to leave giving old mate inside a wave goodbye. Multiple people walked past looking confused about it being closed, some waited and left after 10mins. Many lost customers this morning. Why did we persist? Because we don't live in the city, the one time we had Zambreros it was delicious in comparison to its competitors (GYG) , and we wanted to have it again. Seems like I've had it once and that was also the last....
Read moreToday (11 Feb.) I received one of the worst customer service, I ever received at Zambrero Buranda. The girl who made my bowl was full of attitude. She picked the lettuce (which was dropped accidentally on serving bench) and put it in my bowl. I asked her that she cannot do it, the reply was “The bench is clean, I know how it works”. She was not at all apologetic. I asked her to make it again and when she was adding the ingredients she told me that now she will have to throw other bowl (which I refused to accept) in bin. GOOD SHOT. IQ bowl always come with salsa, in anger she forgot to add that and instead added separate corn, onion and tomato and when I asked for salsa (which separates IQ from Power bowl) she charged me for all the extra ingredients which she put. I really like Zambrero bowls, specially this location. I request Management, please don’t change the staff regularly or roster at least one experienced staff with new ones.

When I ordered a Burrito and asked if they could not include cheese, sour cream and jalapeños but change the salsa to another one they wanted to charge me an extra $1 and when I asked for black rice instead of white they wanted to charge me another $1 and yet they are very happy to offer no discount when taking away high priced items like cheese, sour cream and jalapeños which were included as standard inclusions and not what I want to eat as I’m lactose intolerant. You have just priced yourself out of the market with terrible policy and no care for your customers. You’ve lost me as a customer as I won’t pay almost $20 for a Burrito particularly when taking off cheese, sour cream and jalapeños. I’d be scared to ask how much guacamole would cost ! Just terrible so do yourself a favour and go straight to Guzman for better service, prices and flexibility. Bad...
