I’m still shaken by what I experienced at Oporto. During my visit, I was subjected to blatantly racist behavior by one of the staff members – a brown-skinned man with a goatee, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. His attitude toward me was openly disrespectful, with condescending remarks, a visibly irritated tone, and a clear lack of basic courtesy.
While other customers were greeted with smiles and treated kindly, I was met with disdainful looks, sighs of annoyance, and comments that were undeniably discriminatory. I’m not making this up – I was with a friend who witnessed everything and was just as shocked as I was.
It is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment to tolerate this kind of behavior. I have nothing against the brand itself, but as long as people like this are representing it, I will never return.

It was fine and well presented As I'm ill with pneumonia and on leave from the PA hospital I guess my enthusiasm for the budget was limited by health and appetite I haven't given a great mark but I'll say service was perfect the new shop fit out is quite outstanding and their food way above average so I'd have given it 5 stars if I'd been hungry and looking forward to their offering . They have on their menu Portuguese loaded fries that ill try when better and suggest any hungry guy who wants a tasty feed may find this a great choice. Aporto are a stand out franchise and always a great choice; even when ill with pneumonia . Apologies for the 3 stars only but it is fair considering it reflects my experience in Ill health . Read moreWe walked in and asked how long does it take for half a chicken meal. Replied 10mins. We have to go to work soon so its ok to wait 10mins. Waited 20mins instead and watched the half chicken sitting in the counter for 15mins getting cold as the box was open and the door was open and it's a very windy night. Complained when we waited 18mins. Got yelled from a female staff who didn't serve us" it's only been 15mins" . Anyway, we have to leave and no time to eat and plus the chicken is not hot anymore. Asked for a refund. The guy who served us is ok. But no apology. We understand they are busy. The chicken has been sitting there for more than half the time we waited. Maybe just poor time management with all the online orders they have to prioties as well. At least one apology...
